Before you *really* hit the caffeine you may want to check out this article:

Yes, the video is quite interesting :)

and a picture that I worked on but didn't really turn out. The names are prims. I washed it out too much though :(

heh, do not think attempted fix worked.

(Images removed to avoid redundant repetitive duplicationistic images)

I love it when the Kitten pounces me!

(Thank you for making my name out of prims, too. That's so cute!)

I tink I twisted my virtual ankle, so if ya see me on crutches f'r the next couple days you'll know why. it has nothing at all to do with winning the cast and crutch set out of the lucky chair at RC Cluster.

And yay f'r cookies!

I was just gonna sue the store owner for negligence. I bet I can take her f'r every dime she has. She might even have a dime, too!

I had an interesting morning on SL...

I'm usually on pretty early. Most days a few friends are on, too...

but today, no one, except ONE person I don't usually talk to. I was already kind of bummed out, was thinking of skipping SL entirely, but instead I went to a high place to look at the sunrise on the sea.

After a while, this friend started IM'ing me.

We talked for a bit, and it came out that I'd been working on a male avatar, but I wasn't exactly pleased with the results. She offered to do him a makeover. I took a deep breath, changed accounts, and off we went.

God! Was it weird! She openly laughed at my work so far, which made me a bit defensive, but when she wouldn't stop laughing, I had to give up. I'd bought a skin at Pulse, and fiddled with a freebie shape... she said the results were "awful!"

"I don't want people to notice me," I said.

"They won't!" she replied.

I *thought* I had a kind of Michael J. Fox cuteness. I'm not sure she even knew who he was. But she did say I looked like a kid.

But, after redoing the shape and skin and eyes... woo... (OH and getting a decent, non-swishy AO!) I looked so good, I was *EXTREMELY* uncomfortable.

"Why?" she asked.

"Would YOU want to look like this?" I replied.

"Shh!" she cautioned. (We were in the middle of a busy store.)

"Nobody cares," I laughed. "But I can't live up to this look."

Although at one point -- actually, after I got a decent AO -- I said, "Now I can go to [a certain sim] and beat up [a certain guy]."

"Why would you do that?" she asked. "The poor guy!"

"Isn't he mean?" I replied.

"No."

"Oh, well never mind then."

I still have to get the hair, and better clothes... I did pick up a decent pair of shoes in Honeybear's mall. Discovered that guys have to do the zero-foot thing too...

After he's all baked and the icing put on, I'll post pictures.

The funny thing is, after all that, I felt so much better than I did before. Shopping is good therapy, and it's much better with someone else helping you decide.
