"Summit Elevation: 3,050 ft." -- That is not a mountain. At least your vertical drop isn't bad "Vertical Drop: 2,100 ft." Though with a base of 28 inches, only the most desperate here would ski.

This, however, is a mountain:
Base Elevation: 10,600 feet (3230.880 meter)
Summit Elevation: 13,010 feet (3965.448 meter) Lift-served: 12,700 feet
Vertical Drop: 2,410 feet (734.568 meter)

You poor eastern souls. I suppose you make do with what you must.
:D

I'm going to have fun and you can't stop me!

All you folk out west are soft. Long trails, excellent terrain, endless fresh power... pffft.

Tight little curvy trails, spotted with ice and rocks... THAT's real skiing. Who needs to feel the swish as powder gives way under your edges, when you can hear the chatter as your edges give way over ice? Hmmmm?

Even our little ski resort is about 9100 ft. above sea level.

And if you really want to enjoy it, you strap yourself on one board, and rely on a single edge to turn on the ice.

snowboarding ftw!

I say again...

So you are the one that stole our weather and sent us your crap.

We broke records for high temps twice this week with temps in the mid-upper 70s. Cold front coming in - high tomorrow of only upper 30s with rain and snow.

LOL - sounds like the crap we have to deal with in early season -- like around mid-late Oct, sometimes early Nov.

And that nice 60" base we have will keep our mountain open until early May.

Definitely though, wishing you a fun enjoyable weekend on the mountain.

*waves hi*

Hello folks! Have not been around here much because I've been on a long vacation between jobs - spent tons of time in SL, but almost none on any forums.

I heard Lil and Spike's good news - congrats to you both!

Most of you know that most of my time in world these days is spent on my alter ego Carter who was pretty much taken things over for me. But the blue girl still pops in now and again to take care of cafe business.

The cafe renovations are done and first post-renovation Monday Night Music will take place this Monday from 6-9PM SLT - hope to see some of you there.

*hugs* to all!

hey, I like this one. It showed up in the search for coffee and breakfast (and it's blueberry cheesecake!):

That'll do me nicely for tea!

Thanks Madhu. I'll definitely be there for at least a bit on Monday. If Spike is online, I'll drag him along.

Ok, got the post count up to 714.

How many folks here are old enough to be members of the "just say yes" generation?

Thanks for the gentlefolk who pleasingly responded to my research survey. The survey is now terminated pending the estimation of the results and the fabrication of the conclusion.
