It was called breakfast because of it being the first meal of the day that broke one's fast from the previous evening, wasn't it? So any time of day and any kind of meal could be a genuine break-fast if you're getting up late enough (or just skipping normal breakfast, which Aunty Aes says is not good for you, my boy!)

Well yeah, but then dinner can also be called "breakfast" if you ate breakfast that day but skipped lunch, no?

Kaimi! Welcome back! Heehee, my cats, esp. the female, do the same thing... In fact, when people visit, they will crawl inside unattended purses and wreak havoc.

*waves to threadies* Good morning all. Loved the pic of Tyra Banks. My god, is she gorgeous!

ETA: Tex, that look just does not do justice to your cowboy image! :p

No. Breakfast can only be eaten in the morning. Anything eaten after noon can no longer be called breakfast. Or well, I suppose you -could- call it breakfast, in the sense that you could also decide to call your fork a spoon and vice-versa.

This is, of course, not to say that cuisine traditionally associated with breakfast cannot be served at other times of the day.
Better let all those diners advertising "All Day Breakfasts" know they can't serve 'em after noon then.

Pie (Once I thought they were so big that it took all day to eat them)

Naah...I don't think heels are called for, but I'd ditch the nipple covers. :p

Hey, an actual question here.

I'm making a box. Well, more like a planter. I know how to hollow out the box...but how do I ensure there's still a bottom on the box?

Thank you.

But we know that what they're talking about is "breakfast" -food-, not breakfast.

There is a flower shop my RL alt passes every day on the way to work. The painted sign on the window indicates that the shop sells "ROSE BOKAYS". The store's sign is WRONG.

You gotta make a bottom out of another prim, unfortunately.

Well, OK, then maybe some pasties, because those shell-shaped pieces of fabric do not show off Tex to best advantage. :D

For that matter I guess any meal could be called breakfast if you stopped eating for a while before starting up again. :D

Lol. Same with Jadzia, put a paper bag on the floor, open a guitar case... she's inside. And every time Hubby brings his upright bass into the house and lays it on it's side, in it's gig bag, she jumps up on it and sits there looking ever so pleased with herself.

Thanks to everyone for welcoming me back. We had a great time - hundreds of people saw the band and seemed to like their performances a lot, including several new songs that my husband wrote. And we all got to stay for free at a pretty fabulous B&B, and we got together with some old friends.

For several years I worked the night shift in a hospital, and at seven AM when the shift ended we would often go out to eat... some meal or other. We never called it anything, we just ate. One day in particular we drank tequila sunrises (dating myself, I know) and it seemed quite appropriate.

Well, wait. I can think of one guy who wears them rather well; Eddie Izzard. I don't know what it is about him, but I find him quite sexy.
