Ugh on being logged out twice in a row while trying to teleport! Sigh.

So, hey, gang, what's everyone think about a Valentine's Eve party? Since V-Day is on Saturday the 14th of Feb, I figured an SL party on Friday the 13th (

) might be nice?

I could hostess for a few hours but I can't run it all day. Anyone else want to help DJ/hostess?

Or is this just a silly idea?

It is in the mysti, like Love said. Since you have one.. just rez the builder platform.. change the texture to *grid* I think it is. Take one in your invo and viola. You are all set.

Is there actually a texture called 'grid'? I can't figure out how to chage the texture of the Myst rezzed platform cuz it is no-mod. Amara gave me a fabulous 10x10 grid, but then I have to duplicate it all along the sides of my house - no major deal, but the house is roughly 40x40 and so I just figured it would be easier to temporarily change the texture of my sky platform to a grid.

I say go for it!

I really like the idea, and I would offer to help hostess, but it looks like I'm going to be moving house in RL in the next week or two (still no date yet) so I don't know if I would have internet access.
If we haven't moved by then, it should be ok, I can use my current connection but until I get a date, I don't want to go saying I will then not being able to make it.

Tis the 'Sky Platform' The one with the elevator.

Once it's rezzed the platform, click the elevator again and choose 'Grid'

I'd love to have a Valentines Eve party....buuut, I don't know for sure what's involved with hostessing, but I could show up sometime after 4pmSLT. If the theme is Alts...I don't know if I can do much there, though....I'm pretty much all I got right now.

But the party sounds like a great idea!

For the building wiz folks - The base of my living room is a mega prim box but I am confused on the sizing. The item description says "Box 25x25x10" and when a grid is put up against it, that size description is correct. However, the Object tab shows 50x50x50 (shown below). At first I was going to ask WHY the Object tab size does not match the true size, but I did finally figure that it was the Path Cut and the Slice. So now my question is -- why in the hell did they do it that way rather than just make it 25x25x10? Am I missing something here?

Its one of the original megaprims. Once the ability to make more was gone, in order to make new sizes the old megaprims had to be cut like yours. There is probably a closer replacement available from the new megaprims collection.
You can get a HUD called Salt from XStreetSL (was SLExchange) which allows you to type in chat the size you want and it gives you a list of closest sizes. It will then send your selected megaprim directly to you. The HUD is free

I use it all the time and it is a superb timesaver

Also, We decided we are not going to head out of town for Valentine's day this year, so I can commit to hostesses for a few hours Friday evening. Or even during the afternoon if we want to start earlier for the non-US folks - I am off work that day.
