i had a veiwsonic a90f+ with the ultra bright and all kinds of nice settings.it was crt with the flat face and i miss that one..it died slowly over the past year..

so i found one in the shed that is an older 17" and it actually felt good to see my task bar and IM's and SL buttons again..

but going from that to this was like turning the flood lights on..i actually have to look from left to right...and thats awsome!! lol

I still use my 19" Dell CRT. Still works.

But now it looks out of place beside the 22" LCD TV. So it might be getting replaced eventually.

The LCD TV replaced my 20" Color TV which I've had since 1989. It finally died in October last year.

NOW- lets see these LCD's last THAT long! :p

i played hooky from work today. i did photoshop and SL all day and the day has whizzed by. i had a bit of an emo day myself, to be honest. but less melancholy and more inner turmoil about how to handle some situations. the good news is i had enough uninteruppted time to be able to draw some conclusions and plot a scheme to get through it. plus, Jimi was on my lap all day and that's never a bad thing. :)

i hope you are feeling better by now. *hugs*

Thanks 3, I am and I'm glad you are too. But, a kitty cat would have helped bunches. A llama is too large to sit on my lap all day, I'd go numb :p

it's really naive of you to think we're so gullible to think that the llama would have been just sitting there the whole time. ;)

My last laptop died literally, within days of the warranty expiring. It was amazing, like it had a built-in clock telling it when to expire

Just right click > edit > stretch
then shrink to a more manageable size.

Heh! Speaking of....

My Dell laptop still has 400 days left on its warranty.

SO- if something goes bad, and they send a Field Technician to replace a part..... Will they send me to fix my own laptop??

Sounds pretty win-win to me - you get paid and you get service from someone you trust!

/me flops...

first thing today... drive an hour to help fix something ... then get called into work with a coworker that is pissed off at the situation there.

Then just meh after I pulled my surprise shift.

But off tomorrow so, just chilling and trying to relax a bit.

Add into it worry abotu some friends being sick. Not a good day

Same thing happened to a laptop I had. Two days after the warranty expired. Dead as a door nail. And this was when laptops were very expensive. I think I cried.:(

So, here's the new Alt I've been working on. She came out of the woodwork tonight during inworld chat so I'm unveiling her here. My "Beer Queen" lol - QueenOfCorona Mexicola hehe. Still a work in progress, it's the first picture I took of her a few weeks back, like day 1. She has better skin/eyes since then.

If anyone has a crown that is transfer in their inventory, send it along. Can't be the Queen of Cerveza without one :p
