I could see the first one but had to get creative with the second- maybe this though has enough of the right stuff?

Morning Threadworld....

Hmm- what can one say?

Starting with the pleasantries though - Had a lovely time at Ghosty's Grand Opening - the llama is talented, no doubt. It was lovely seeing friends and hearing some great tunes.

Napped bit and then came back here and read Chris' farewell- there are no words to really do justice to our loss at his leaving. One can but hope his health will improve and he finds his way back.

This really is our world- and each one of us a component, a part- when one of us is missing it is noted and felt. To all of you my friends, I just want to share a warm thought and a digital hug. My life is the richer for having all of you in it.

I've had Jolt, but not in a long time ... tasted like a strong cola, really.

I can't remember because I spent the next three days running in circles :p

Morning Threaders.

Thanks to all who came by Ghosty's party last night. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed seeing you all.

After you all left, we had an amusing thing happen. Ghosty saw some noob go into the house next door. He cammed in and saw him go into their bathroom, and sit on the bowl

So, he sent him an IM "Don't forget to wipe!"

The guy IM'd back: "LOL"

At least he had a sense of humor about using someone elses home to go to the bathroom :p

Ok, Enough hilarity.

The sudden news about Chris and his health status and subsequently leaving our family, put a sad note on it however. He is a good friend of mine, and has been there for me (and many others as we all well know) in many ways since I've arrived here.

I am heart-broken over this news and will be trying to get in touch with him privately. I'm hopeful that he'll give me some more in depth info, but concerned that he is too ill to have the wherewithall to muster the strength to do so :(

My best wishes go out to Feline too. Being involved with someone in this environment is difficult enough at times, but when they take ill to this degree the complications are enhanced.

The other day Brenda posted her picture - and lovely as she is, I made a joke about "deer in headlights".

This morning, I realized why that was so.

I know ... I'd only gotten to speak with Chris a couple of times, but he came off as a damn nice guy. I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to speak with him more. We never have enough good people around here. :/

Well- two questions for the Board or the bored...

'Bout a year ago I bought several pieces of 16m's and joined them til I ended up with a teeny parcel near my home... I had forgotten about it until this morning and realize I had never joined it to the main area. This is all on the same region but with parcels in between... how do I get 'attached'?

And... just downloaded the new RC and tried to replicate my windlight settings as I had used before - now everything has a yellow cast :(

Ok, since we're fessing up, I'll show you a picture of the real me. Just keep in mind I don't usually walk around holding Oscar. He's just in a junk drawer in the bedroom gathering dust. I'm kind of embarrassed about him. Really

Go into Edit Terrain ... as long as the parcels are touching, you should be able to click-drag across the owned lands and "connect" them.

Course, being in the same region, you're getting all the prims anyway.

I was online at my Mom's house when I saw the thread, and was devastated that I couldn't get inworld to say goodbye. It's a good thing she didn't see me crying quietly. We shared so much over the past 2 years, starting here where the Gang of 4, Me , Chris, Colette, and Zap would get mixed up in a few deep philosophical fisticuffs. It was there that Chris came to me with the idea of starting the Forum Cartel, our first meetings were held at my old house, about 5 or 6 people showed up. From there things spiraled into oblivion......... :)

Anyone who does make contact with him, please let him know that he will always be in my prayers, as will his little girl. I know how much he loves her. He is truly a good man, his strength is astounding. I know even during fun times at the hangout where everything seemed fine he would tell me the pain he was in, but would never want to be a damper or look for pity. For those of you who knew him intimately, you are lucky indeed. He truly is a special one. I hope for as much peace and happines as he can find.
