From: Rioko Bamaisin With any luck!!!! Just waiting for Windy to bite me. Hello, Thread! Hi, Trout! Hello, Riokos' boots. Oh, hi, Rioko. I missed a lot...I've been absent since about Page 324. Before I say why, though...don't die, Rio, please. Being Undead, even with killa boots, isn't all it's cracked up to be. Neither is being dead-dead. If it's nibbles you want, I still have all my teeth...and no fangs or lycanthropy or vampishness to worry about. Now, about that absence. My basement became my indoor swimming pool yesterday. I've always wanted one of those, but not in the same space occupied by our libraries and much of our electronics. So yesterday instead of cruising the forums or being in SL, I was sloshing hither and yon, schlepping many tons of chattels up stairs, and/or bailing out the hold. This incident may also have cured me of my daydream of living aboard a boat. Their basements are always just an inch or so away from flooding...all the way to the roof and beyond, in extreme cases. I have decided I do not like wet squishy feet.

Sorry to hear of your near-death by drowning, Lindy - hope things will dry up nicely.

Ohhhh, Lindal, I am sorry...mine wasn't as bad. Without my permission, my basement was converted into a wading pool Sunday night/Monday morning. Fortunately, we were able to drain the water more quickly than we expected, and salvaged a fair amount. SO sorry you had to deal with this.

All beverages are more refresing when drunk out of a cup or glass than when drunk out of a bottle.

Oh my, Lindal! Sorry to hear about your wet troubles. What a hassle! I hope you'll be able to get everything dry before any mold sets in, etc. Do you live near a stream or lake? Or has it just been more rain than usual?

I like beer from the bottle, maybe because the bottle is cold coming from the fridge, and I like a cold one in the summer. In any case, from the bottle is much more refreshing than from a can.

I find that the larger surface area of a glass or cup makes for a larger gulp with less air bubbles in it, thus infreasing refreshiocity. Straight from the bottle creates too great a foam:liquid ratio.

Or has it just been more rain than usual? With one minor exception a few years back caused by a clogged French drain, our basement has been bone dry for the 40+ years the house has existed. Yesterday was the first time we had what (we think) was groundwater seepage, due to a record amount of spring rains over the last two weeks.

My angel, my all, my self... my thoughts go out to you, my immortal beloved, now and then joyfully, then sadly, waiting to learn whether or not fate will hear us I can live only wholly with you or not at all... Be calm... love me...today... yesterday what tearful longings for you you... my life... my all... farewell Oh continue to love never misjudge the most faithful heart of your beloved. Ever thine ever mine ever ours

From: Conan Godwin All beverages are more refresing when drunk out of a cup or glass than when drunk out of a bottle. Agreed. And if you have room in the freezer, keeping a couple glasses in there for your beer makes it even more refreshing. Lindal - sorry to hear about your indoor lake. I suggest stocking it with...well...trout (not Trout). You may have dreamed about a swimming pool, but I dream of my own private trout pond. Maybe not indoors, though. It makes casting a little difficult.
