From: LittleMe Jewell We do have a snowblower and normally do ours and a few of the older neighbors if someone else hasn't already done so. This neighborhood is one of those 30-35 yr old ones and has some folks that have been here that whole time, with some younger folks that have moved in. We still have a block party every year, I know the name and have the phone number of every neighbor on my street, and the younger ones always take care of the older ones. I feel really lucky that I managed to find a neighborhood like this because I do think it is very very rare these days - at least in big cities and suburbs, rather than small towns. my hubby doing our driveway last february, for about the 3rd time that day (and before it got bad)

i just happened across this old pic: here's a pic of Prince Chester chasing a squirrel up a tree last summer. he's never caught one, and i don't think he'd know what to do with it if he did. it'd probably bite him. but it sure is damm cute to watch him chase those squirrels.

From: 3Ring Binder my hubby doing our driveway last february, for about the 3rd time that day (and before it got bad) Pictures reminded me of Pittsburgh, which I miss and a friend's piece of property there. They bought property and a log cabin kit and then found when doing the ground work that they were over a old abandoned ventilation shaft. They had to spend an extra $30,000 putting in piers to stabilize the ground. OUCH! Because of the extra expense it took them 4 more years to finish the inside work.

I would take pictures of my yard but it would not look like winter - the grass is freshly
mowed, the weeds have been plucked and the big dog washed outside- (little one bathes in basin) it is tank top and shorts weather and i wish i lived elsewhere.
