As a guy I have to say YES.

We ARE the biggest babies when sick.

I think its because we're used to dealing & fixing problems and being sick is something we cant fix right away so it makes things worse.

omg, Tod...thank you!! Of course!! That makes perfect sense.

It's the most logical explanation I've heard.

I'm serious when I say you've solved a life-long mystery for me. The behavior will still make me nuts on occasion, but now I'll understand it. :)

It was good all the way through. I posted it last night in the "Lies, Deception and Evilness" thread just to show it is surprising since we can be anything or any gender that there is actually a high level of successful relationships in SL considering the relatively small amount of participants. Think about it, how many people know someone in SL that has met and married in RL because of here. I am not a very social person and yet I know two couples. Among my RL friends, even though some are looking, none have married in the last 3 years.

I think I read the whole thing. It's a nice story about people finding happiness through SL! Cool!

I woke to another 4-5 inches of snow. However, the guy that shoveled my snow earlier in the week came back and did it again - only this time he refused any money because he said that I had given him way too much last time.

Though I did ask him to accept a bit more money and to please shovel the snow for the lady next door - she is pretty old and ill and the various neighbors always take care of her snow.

Now that is down right nice of you! Its rare to find people that care about their neighbors anymore.

I could only dream of having people around here to shovel snow!! Damn kids are too lazy in this neighborhood!

I'd do it myself but it means spending 3-10 days walking hunched over when my back goes out.

We do have a snowblower and normally do ours and a few of the older neighbors if someone else hasn't already done so. This neighborhood is one of those 30-35 yr old ones and has some folks that have been here that whole time, with some younger folks that have moved in. We still have a block party every year, I know the name and have the phone number of every neighbor on my street, and the younger ones always take care of the older ones. I feel really lucky that I managed to find a neighborhood like this because I do think it is very very rare these days - at least in big cities and suburbs, rather than small towns.

GORGEOUS, Kaimi! :) breathtaking!

my home, this morning (a light dusting)-

(the view from the garage - if interested ---> http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3191/3107394599_9478c42088.jpg

and if more interested, the view from street ---> http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3217/3107389071_ea19a0c853.jpg
you can see the highway, which is something i enjoy watching when i'm feeling melancholy - people moving about, guessing who they are and where they've been - and where they are going)
