Eh. I'm a "quasi-housewife" these days. Last May my bosses asked if I minded working a 'reduced schedule" Here it is a year later and I'm still on that schedule. It was ok the first 6 months or so now I'm BORED. And going back to bed isn't an option for me, I'm a morning person  /me makes another cup of coffee, waits for the asset server to come back and twiddles my fingers watching the rain out of my windows... I'm so bored too,you don't even know. Unfortunatly I can't work. There are no places for after school care around here for my children.(They are both Autistic) Not to mention, some days they can't/won't even go to school if they are having a meltdown or something. I would easily miss at least one day a week at any job I got. So it would be useless to try to work. So now I am a kept woman. _____________________

Morning Thread and Threaders
 I am sorry I didn't pop in last night- wow had to wade thru four pages. Glad I missed the reference to that other ting- don't know anything about dramatic skin so cool on that. Pleasantly quiet evening in SL - visited Allegria - hey hun! /me waves .. and danced at a couple of clubs in my leopard skin - growwwwllll So here we are the end of the week - hope everyone has great plans - Happy Mom's Day to all you moms- and dads don't forget to celebrate - doesn't have to be stuff- kisses a nice massage would go miles for me over tangibles- maybe your ladies too . ...All the Sci-fi fans out there, if you have not seen the "Firefly" series, I would highly reccomend you find a copy of the DVD's and watch them. BEST SERIES EVER!!!... Seconded. It's a damn shame that Fox canceled the thing after 13 episodes. The only part that bugged me was the layout of the place...some kind of gigantic solar system with a zillion inhabitable planets and moons in it. The ships were *not* FTL starships, they were all interplanetary types. The only problem is, solar systems don't work that way. But the mixture of Wild West with Chinese culture was, somehow, believable. It reminded me at times of the old Kung Fu series with David Carradine. And the characters! Wowsers. Malcolm Reynolds, hard-bitten ex-Rebel noncom and tramp spaceship captain. Wash, the wizard pilot who plays with toy dinosaurs in idle moments. Zoe, Mal's second in command, Wash's wife, and a stone killer. Inara, a Companion, and more beautiful than any SL escort. Kaylee, a sunny, fluffy airhead who's a better natural engineer than Scotty ever was. And a bunch of other wildly inventive and well-played misfits, mysteries, and mayhem-magnets. If you missed the series in its brief run, get the 5-DVD set NOW. When you're done with them, I guarantee you will run out and buy the full length movie, "Serenity". It's not as good as the series, but you'll want it anyway, just to spend some more time with some of your favorite people. _____________________

Firefly is mildly entertaining at best. Worth a watch. Not worth crying over now it's gone.
