you've never had a migraine. i can tell.

I have had migraines, been kicked in the balls more times than I care to remember, been hospitalised with a fractured skull, and regularly suffer with sinus headaches which are acknowledged as the most painful thing known to man.

But I don't hide.

these two MIGHT be related. :(
Yeah, it's sad when life is so unpleasant that people who should have hope for the future instead think about giving up too soon.
But when life has been long and the body is worn out without hope of repair that makes it easier to accept the inevitable. My mom died at age 90 with a great deal of grace. I'm hoping in the distant future I can do half as well.

And if we're going to talk about headaches I guess I have to weigh in on that too. I've been getting awful ones for thirty years - they aren't typical migraines. I wouldn't wish even a mild headache on anyone.

you've had the same wallet for 29 years? or wait! - is that the age of your kid? LOL

LOL!

Yes, I've had the same wallet of 29 years. It's handmade with a carving of the cyclops from greek mythology on it. I bought it at the renaissance festival in 79. It's getting a bit shabby so I may have to retire it soon. I do a have a daughter who is 28, so the wallet has been empty most of those years. Maybe that's why it lasted so long.

And more politically conservative.

I'm not conservative, I'm pragmatic. ;)

And the pragmatist in me is always grateful for the nice things you've said to me here, as they come from a highly esteemed source. :)

Speaking of which, The Debacle....I mean Debate tonight is being held at my alma mater, Hofstra. I don't know whether to be proud or not.

The inner beauty stays with you forever, sweetie. I've decided I want to be like you when I grow up, although I know I'll be just crankier and more cynical as the years go by.

No you won't sweetie, my Mother has the corner on that one. Dementia will do that to you, make you a crankie bitch. Strange though she loves her children more then she did before.

You will become more laid back and not really give a damn. My girlfriend and I laugh ourselves silly at all of the crap that happens to us. We would really like to know where those *Golden Years* have gone. If she doesnt stop sending me those Senior Citizens jokes I am going to kill the woman.

Spent part of my lunch wandering about Vienna Free- http://slurl.com/secondlife/Wien/239/155/27

They have a bunch of gift boxes laying about - 72 in all - so if you like hunts- and these are not real hidden :) go on by. Not sure if the gifts are keepers or not- I haven't unpacked anything yet. I did pick up a ruby bracelet, a mannequin and some dresses.

Hi Thread!

I decided to sneak this in here rather than put it into the usual "Product Wanted" or other such places. I figure ya'll might know what I'm lookin' for first, an you might also be willin t'lend a hand.

I'm trying to put together a picture in Bay City, presenting a street scene, and I'm looking for some ideas of places to find some good 1940s-1950s era attire. Mainly standard "street wear" versus leather jackers and poodle skirts. Even stuff like a vintage style police uniform or military dress uniform, or things along this line.

Yes, I'd even be interested in attire for me, if anyone knows of any good vintage style clothing that would work for a kid avvie, or could be sized down to fit

Also looking for folks who might already have a good vintage look together, or who roleplay in such eras (is there such a thing? There should be). Looking for more males for the shot too 9I know way too many other women inworld!). I'd prefer bipeds. I'm likely to shoot it on a Tuesday or Wednesday evening/night.

Also, Lexxie, if yer about, I might want to have you involved, as you have some appropriate cars in your inventory. :-)

Feel free to PM me or drop me an IM in world or whatever if yer into doin someting like this.

I probably should have said less radically left wing than I am. Your firm grasp of reality is one of the things I love the most about you.

Mari, there's a store on Retrology whose name escapes me at the moment, but they specialize in 40s-50s clothing.

I'd be happy if just once a canidate's reply actually had something to do with the question being asked.

The war years, '40s, will still find people driving cars from the '30s since car factories were making tanks and the like. Still possible to find '30s cars in the 50s, though maybe slightly less so than finding '80s cars today as people were down right tired of '30s cars by the time the war ended and wanted new.

So true! The SNL after the last VP was absolutely hilarious. The sad part was that it was a fairly accurate deciption of the actual debate.
