Strange thing: The last time I had a "body cavity" search, I couldnt figure out what they were digging for? I'm bent over naked, cheeks spread, the cop had both his hands on the table in front of me. Yet he repeatedly kept poking "where the sun dont shine" looking for 'something!' :confused:

Are these 'cavity searches' supposed to end with the guard/cop saying "OH GAWD YES!!!"????????? :confused:

Hell! I thought he found something!!!

Geez, was that only a couple of weeks ago? Must of been a rough few weeks here cuz it seems like ages.

/me is even more glad of this user conference.



ETA: I had forgotten what these conferences were like. First a 3 hour Wine and Cheese event that serves much more alcohol than wine and it is all free. Then that ends and we all get shuttled back to the hotel to go upstairs to the hospitality suite where we spend another 3 hours drinking free alcohol. And there are 3 more nights of this. I do hope I am not too old to survive it.

well i work in a kitchen, so it isnt much of a stretch ;)
i ended up making two pizzas (for all 8 of us). one was hot salami with persian feta and kalamata olives, and the other was pesto cream base with chicken and enoki mushroom.

Hiya Lil, Maureen,

For me things are pretty much back to normal, other than traffic being a nightmare.
As of today I think maybe a 1/2 million people still don't have electricity. My mom is one of those still without lights, and of course she's to stubborn to leave her house and stay with me.

Down on the coast things are still a mess. Some folks are returning to Galveston but others wont be allowed in until Wednesday AM, and they will be on a "look and leave" status. I can't imagine waiting ten days to find out if anything is left of your home. The lucky ones will find their homes intact, but most of those still have flood damage that's been unattended for over a week.

Anyway, it's good to be back here.
