4pm SLT start. Lemme know if you need a LM. I'm gonna send out a final reminder in a couple of hours. :D

I don't care who started it, someone has to end it (so clichéd I know), I'm presuming you can act grown up enough to use the ignore button?

Well, yeah, but still, even most kids aren't this petty all of the time. Besides, it's not cool to argue. :p

Claire, seriously, you're going to have to stop being so stern...:)

Thought I would share- this was tuxedo and ballgown night at Shiraz last night :)

The sexy tuxed fellow spinning me about is Steely.

And there I will have to agree to disagree with you.

I'm watching the Paralympics Opening Ceremony. I must say, Beijing have outdone themselves! It's amazing!
Starting with kids in wierd mulitcolour plastic suits, to a young girl who had lost a leg, but is still determined to practice ballet, and now they have covered a frame in strips of fabric and people are using their arms (popping up through gaps in the fabric) to look like a bird flock etc.

Wow!

/me grimaces involuntarily.

One question:

Why?

Edited to add: Not why did you think it funny, Mo..

Why did they do it? Why did they make it? Why?

LOL, looks like they were having a lot of fun.

Indeed. I mean, if I was gonna do some "live-action roleplay", darn it I'd do some freakin' ROLE PLAY:

Heh, depending on the timing, my brother-in-law was probably there. He is a walking encyclopedia about the U.S. Civil War and has participated in a lot of reenactments. He's a KILLER (no pun intended) tour guide for all the battlegrounds b/t Gettysburg, Pennsylvania and Fredericksburg, Virginia.

You hit the nail right on the head there Mr Daniels.

Very aesthetically challenged people with no real social skills and a deeply held sense of disenfrancisement , getting together in a fictional realm to dress up and pretend to be what they're not.

It's lunacy!

Oh, give me this kind of lunacy anyday!!! :D

And for Atticus' first posting here in the thread:

I have these really great Coleman rechargeable lanterns charging up right now, along with enough candles to to hold a vigil.

The hard part is finding a place to put my car where another big tree branch won't come down on it again.

Oh, yeah....forgot about that car incident. /me hopes you find safe haven for the vehicle, too.

OKAY!

Ease up on the insults and fighting and snide digs at each other please. We all get that you guys don't get on and don't agree. Please don't turn this thread into one big fighting match. If you have a problem, take it to PM. We don't need to hear about it.

FFS act like adults rather than kids with a grudge!

Oh, I forgot that was on today. Sounds fabulous. The Opening Ceremony for the other Olympics were amazing, so it stands to reason these would be just as memorable.

Interesting gas station.

Heh, just noticed the one-stop shopping portion of this gas station. Get your gas, your sno-cone/sodas AND your clothing. Handy after a night out on the town.

Happened around 1 am my time- now had to download both the normal one- didnt fix it- then the new RC- now it is working but an attempted TP booted me.

RE the gown- Isn't that awesome? Hehe- it is called Bound and it's from Falln- the bottom half anyway - the top is mine own - Summer & Smoke- but the skirt to that is actually more naked than that! OMG! hehe- PLUG: Now available at Talon Faire ;)

oh wow! very moving!

The lighting of the torch ! I was nearly crying lol. The guy was in a wheelchair, and he pulled himself up a rope, in his chair, to the top of the stadium to light the torch...with no help at all! Wow!

near the fire-chimney-thingie.

sadly, i know exactly how to find things when you describe them like this. LOL we're probably the only two people who think "thingie" is a perfect way to describe things with no name. LOL
