My hatches are battened down, I've stocked up on Toilet Paper, Wine Coolers and Popcorn, and have a days worth of movies ready to go. I'm ready for Hanna. And my shotgun is ready for looters.

As long as Trout doesn't try to slide any cake under you, you should be fine. ;)

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

OK Stormy and Damien - and Amara, if you are still with us - I am headed to bed. Sweet dreams folks. See you later today. I hope you can both make it to Claire's housewarming party Saturday afternoon! :)

Night Mo! Hope to see you tomorrow

Yeah, around 10 pm last night, the heavens opened here and we had a deluge.

7:15 am - No wind here yet, but it's raining a lot.

Heh, sounds like what folks do around here when at least an inch of snow is forecast. :p

You have flashlight/batteries? Candles? Matches?

Oh dear...I hope your head is feeling better by this time. I remind you not to drink so much late at night.

Instead, drink more in the morning, you know, like around 12:01 am. :D

Somebody who makes videos in SL should get some friends together and make an in-world version of this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_ekugPKqFw

I would LOL.

Except that something like that happening in SL...well, just isn't as hilarious as it actually happening in RL. But still.

/me grimaces involuntarily.

One question:

Why?

Edited to add: Not why did you think it funny, Mo..

Why did they do it? Why did they make it? Why?

Indeed. I mean, if I was gonna do some "live-action roleplay", darn it I'd do some freakin' ROLE PLAY:

You hit the nail right on the head there Mr Daniels.

Very aesthetically challenged people with no real social skills and a deeply held sense of disenfrancisement , getting together in a fictional realm to dress up and pretend to be what they're not.

It's lunacy!

Seems to me that having a blast with a bunch of like-minded friends out in the fresh air is a lot more hilarious than, say, trolling the forums for ways to belittle others. Now THAT is pathetic.

I wonder what THEY would say about adults who APPARENTLY walk around as cartoon characters dressed in the latest of hooker wear jumping on and off poseballs on a quest for virtual reality.

For all their nerdy glory, those vids are funny
Not sure if I'd post them on utube though
:)

Well it's no obscure fact that humor escapes you; but allow me to explain: geekiness is funny. Everybody "geeks" a little over something, but to see it displayed so flagrantly that it's practically a parody of itself is funny. Those people were probably quite proud of their video when they released it, too, which makes the fact that it became a widely-known object of humor even funnier. Kind of like how your responses to the jokes I make at your expense make those jokes funnier than they otherwise would've been.

Swingers picnics? Now you 're talking.

Pep (My 12 year old son thought the video was pathetic too. Good genes or good taste?)

I think to be honest we're all pathetic in our own way, it's really only a question of degree.

For my part I agree with Thoreau when he said "The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation".

Speaking for myself however, and apparently Pep, I've decided to do away with the "quiet" bit.

No - just YOUR attempts at humour escape me.
