@ Mo: Thanks for the tip on the Hair. I won't have much time fo SL for the next week or so, but maybe I can pop in and check it out.

BTW, The pic you posted at SLU was jaw droppingingly gorgeous. Now I have someone else to be jealous of, besides "You know who" *shakes fist

G'mornin, thread!

So what did I do yesterday? Bought more fireworks. Even though I'm not doin' the weekly shows 'til next Summer. Sad, innit?

I did another run through Hair Fair. No real kid hairs there, though there were some okay Elegant Gothic Lolita looks. As it is, Robin's been working on a really cute kid hairstyle anyway, which some of ya saw at fireworks this week.

I followed a whole lotta long-gone SL history trails, courtesy of the ads on the walls of the old Jet Ball court in Rizal. Only one place "advertised" there still exists -- Avatar Central's Aqua branch. Looks pretty neglected. Most of the locations advertised are empty fields (the Atlas Casino, for one) and/or are now part of the Luskwood.

I also spent some time playin on the Beta grid, 'cuz I could. Recently, I got lucky an managed to get Livingtree mirrored over there too, which makes a great testing place before I bring stuff to Livingtree proper. Handy for makin' sure stuff on the sim is gonna play nice, so as to avoid the "sound throttling" problem we ran into some time back.

How was everyone else's weekends?

Mari

Sad news from the film world. The Movie Trailer Guy, Don LaFontaine has died.

In a world without Don, movie trailers just won't sound as cool. :(

Hi there - fyi, I heard from CX:

How did you hear from him? Semaphore?

Seriously, that's good news. The news coverage here is sensationalistic to the point where I don't know what to trust, and I really hope that CX and anyone else we have in that area are staying safe and dry.

OK, anyone who checks the fashion blogs regularly is probably familiar with the one devoted solely to hair. I think it's a fabulous concept but my question is, does anyone else ever want to find the primary photographer and demand she do something about the frelling ugly lighting she uses so the pics actually, I dunno, accurately reflect what the hair looks like? I keep seeing styles I know are perfectly cute - because I own them - going across the feed looking like something I would never EVER buy. I feel bad for the creators, having their work presented so poorly.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

ha, I was thinking the very same just last night, while I was embarking on my usual fruitless search for menswear that isn't unmitigated wankery.

I gues the mayor spent more time doing his job than getting his face on TV this time around,
I like his politically correct choice of words: "get yer butt outta town."

I'd prefer something Army of Darkness-related. :p

Did you say the words exactly?

The Day the Earth Stood still aside, it's also definitely a 'V' word in Army of Darkness.

Night night, everybody.

Great pic, Ann. :) There does not seem to be a fork at this place setting. What kind of gin joint was that??? (and where was that, anyway? I like checking out diners.)

/me is scared of the large knife next to the waffles....

So... the slave auction thing didn't work out and you've resorted to carrying a butcher knife to get a date? :p
