I am corrupted.
After glancing through the past few pages, I prepared to go out on site to take some photographs for a marketing piece.
Passing my colleague's office I absently said "Can I haz your hardhat?"

The look on her face made it clear that I need to spend less time looking at lolcats
:D

PS Grats on the 30,000 Maureen
LOL - precious !!!!
:D

Oh no reflection on you Trout :o I was just making a general statement. I always kept turtles as a child, but we weren't allowed to have them in our apartment. My mom thought they were one step above a rodent. We kept them at my Aunt's apartment down the block, but couldn't get there every day to check up on them, sadly. She was not the most attentive sort, although quite loving. Hence, we had a frequent and sad turn-over of terrapins as the years went by.

So sad to find them belly up, stiff-legged under their little plastic palm tree, wondering what happened to their little pond of water....:(

I know - I was just teasing you a little. :)

Actually, it would be nice to have a little aquarium with some fish. I usually think fish make dumb pets, but in an office like this, it would be nice. They are fun to watch, they require some care and attention, so you interact a little with them, and they don't run all over the place or poop on the carpet.

I should look into a small aquarium. I bet I could get away with that.

Some people spend so much time sitting in front of their computers, they begin to act like them. Rigid, cold, and humorless. They should step out into the sunshine a bit more often.
I thought maybe it was the summer heat or sun spots that was making so many folks cranky. It seems it has been a bit rougher the past 3-4 months.

lol! One of the wonderful benefits of my job is flexible work hours. I can work from home in the morning, while waiting for the traffic to dissipate!! :D

And wow...being at work at 5:30 am...wow.
My official start time is 6:00, but I usually get there anywhere from 5:40-5:50. The good side is that I leave at 3:30 most days and get every other Monday off.

I think it's in the water...

Sometimes the best defense is to stop caring- there are only so many times you can hit your head on a brick wall- the wall doesn't bleed. You saw the one question/one answer thing I posted after the Excel jerk, I'm sure- think about it.. it helps- very Zen... Sadly that means a lot of stuff i would have responded to before goes unnoticed 'cause I just can't be bothered to deal with the potential for asininity.

Going back to seeing how I can make people part with their hard earned Lindens :)

And sometimes, you have to care all the more. Especially when someone as loving and caring as Amara wants to give up.

Just scrolling back a wee bit. I *was* online and I *did* see this request, but I had to close the group chat window. At the time your IM arrived, y'see, I was in the middle of buying my first ever plot of land, and I didn't want to risk a case of WFW (wrong effin' window) by telling my landlord (from whom I was purchasing) that I was too busy to mud-wrestle with him right now...

lol, no worries. I did find someone eventually, and now my wrestling ring is complete :D
I figured people were busy anyway.

How's the land?
