How about one this size?

That looks exactly like the cat I used to have. Her name was Unique and she had 6 toes on each foot and 1/2 a tail. Well not as tiny of course  But other than that, a replica.

lol, thats not the best of it.

I sent out a group IM asking for testers and the response was.....practically none existant lol. I'm not sure whether to blame chat lag, people not being online, or simply no one wanted to mud wrestle with me.
Just scrolling back a wee bit. I *was* online and I *did* see this request, but I had to close the group chat window. At the time your IM arrived, y'see, I was in the middle of buying my first ever plot of land, and I didn't want to risk a case of WFW (wrong effin' window) by telling my landlord (from whom I was purchasing) that I was too busy to mud-wrestle with him right now...

Why is it that most people in these forums (definitely not this thread, but most others) are being just flat out mean to people who start threads? It seems like everyone is just so pissed off at the world & wants to attack anyone who starts a conversation. I've been reading a lot of threads lately to be informed with SL topics, & it seems like most of the answers are so hateful. Is anyone else noticing this?

It's not most. I can name about three - maybe four people who are contributing to the hatred. The other regular posters aren't like that. There's a theory in psychology which, if I had any actual training in psychology, I could name and explain, but basically, one negative incident is multiple times stronger than a positive one. I think the ratio was 5 to 1, but it may have been more. Basically, for every negative experience, you need five positive ones to cancel it out.

Knowing that, try to either ignore the negative posters, or just mute them. You'll discover dozens and dozens of positive, helpful posts.

As an aside, since LL opened up the forums, we've had a lot of threads from pretty nasty posters who only show up to act like jackasses, then disappear. They usually ask a question, then when they get the answer, act like they are being abused because they are going to have to push a few buttns on the keyboard to fix the problem. The "Get my sales into Excel" post comes to mind. That poster didn't want an answer to his question; he just wanted to be an asshole.

Anyway, ignore the minority of people who are being dicks and concentrate on the others and you'll be a lot happier.

She "was", I assume past tense. My ex-husband kept her, since she was his to begin with and that was like another life-time ago, like 15 years ago.

She was old then so I can't imagine she could possibly be still alive, but who knows? She also weighed about 25 pounds the last time I saw her, fat sow :p

In a world where we apparently need to be told not to use our hair dryers in the shower, it's really not so surprising. :p
I was just trying to multi-task.

A turtle would be a good office pet.

I wonder if I can get away with that here.

hmmm....sometimes it's better to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission. If a turtle just happened to "appear" in my office, I might be able to beg them to let me keep it.

Turtles are nice. But, they have a habit of drying up and dying if left unattended :( Best left for a very loving sort of office, for sure - not if people have a habit of being forgetful and self-involved.

What are you trying to say about me? :p

My plants have a habit of drying up and dying, too, so maybe a turtle isn't a great idea after all.

Hahahaha! If a turtle "just happened" to appear in my cubicle, I'd sure it would "just reappear" in the wharf outside the office.

lol! One of the wonderful benefits of my job is flexible work hours. I can work from home in the morning, while waiting for the traffic to dissipate!! :D

And wow...being at work at 5:30 am...wow.

Oh no reflection on you Trout :o I was just making a general statement. I always kept turtles as a child, but we weren't allowed to have them in our apartment. My mom thought they were one step above a rodent. We kept them at my Aunt's apartment down the block, but couldn't get there every day to check up on them, sadly. She was not the most attentive sort, although quite loving. Hence, we had a frequent and sad turn-over of terrapins as the years went by.

So sad to find them belly up, stiff-legged under their little plastic palm tree, wondering what happened to their little pond of water....:(
