So has MonkeyMagic Magic been soliciting the people over here for friendship too? Seems like s/he has been a busy little bot.

Who is MonkeyMagic Magic?

You sure about the first ever Olympic medal for Spain, Oryx? I remember being in the Nou Camp stadium in Barcelona watching Spain beating Poland 3-2 with a last minute goal in the football tournament. If memory serves, they usually dominate the men's walking events, typically do well in the sailing, and have a smattering of track and field medals going way back.

But it's highly appropriate that they grabbed the gold in the cycling road race - as Spain is now comprehensively dominating that sport.

No British medals yet. Glorious failure the order of the day for the next couple of weeks.:)

Just for the next couple of weeks? :-)

But we are doing OK in the cricket for once . . .

. . . now that the series is already lost!

Pep (Welsh, but British for a fortnight)

Oh ye of little faith, Herzog :o

Gold for GB. Nicole Cook in the (sub-aquatic) women's cycling road race. Hooray!

Didn't she (Is she Beryl's girl) read the script?

Pep (If it was raining then it's not really surprising she did well)

Iunno, s/he has just been offering friendship to roughly half of SL tonight.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

The lack of a friendship offer from this simian conjurer makes me feel either special or unwanted. Can't quite decide which.

Perhaps the Monkey is only offering friendship to the distaff side?

If it makes you feel better (it shouldn't given that my friendship growth is negative after the last couple of days) I was not offered either.

Pep (Being male, understands the rationale of preferring Ann to Max)

Nope, boys are getting offers too. There was some discussion about it on SLU.

Gah, I found some Neko parts I really like at a place I'd never been to before, but the perms make no sense...the ears are mod/transfer and the tail is copy only.

That is strange...I agree, the different perms do not make sense.

Oops! I just realized I haven't had my coffee yet. :o

Brann, they *do* play hockey. *grins* They just don't play "Ice Hockey" in the Summer games.

Sorry, pippy, I know you muted me, but this attempt at bonhomie won't fly. Dont' bother. Burned bridges and all that.

From: Blyss Burton

He was hell bent on accusing Brann - - in fact blackmailed me - - saying that if I did not turn over my main - - he would destroy Brann in the forum - - and it would be my fault.

Brann, believe what you want to. I doubt if anything I say would convince you otherwise and I do not intend to do so here in this thread, where I will continue to contribute; of course, you have the option to "ignore" me.

the exodus of those 4 at the same time strikes me as a little odd. I really hope they'll stay involved. They make up a large part of what makes the hangout and the forums in general worthwhile.

where they go, i will follow.

 there are a lot of wierd things happening all over. i have no idea what most of them are about. is this what happens when you let a week pass without paying 'real' attention?

i feel unusually slighted that i was not included. but please don't let the fact that i would have denied the offer interfere with your sympathy of my plight. LOL

maybe the creator doesn't realize and it's just a mixup? maybe he/she will now create on with the perms you desire.
