LOL, Elora. Sorry you had to suffer the trauma of racing for the train again this am...but glad you made it to work before the boss' arrival! :)

I always make it here before my bosses. Case in point:

Boss #1: 70ish (offhand forget) gent, never gets here before 11:00am. Why? Because he can. He's the one who started the company he, well, he deserves it. And even if he didn't he'd do it anyway. Once here, he sits at his desk, doing not much of anything but chatting to his son, reading email, buttering up clients, and being a gossip of great magnitude.

Boss #2: 46 year old ex-best friend of mine before he became my boss. Usually here 10:00am on the dot. Lives around the block. Made Partner a few years ago and is stressed out and overworked because of Boss #1.

Me? I make my train regardless of what happens to me in the morning. I'm ridiculously responsible and on-time. What's wrong with me?

That is quite an interesting video about diet coke CX, disturbing too - not much needed for a home made leathal weapon really.

You would have to find a way to get the tablet into the soda and then get the cap back on quick enough to build pressure to burst the bottle.

As a kid I took a paper towel and put in two table spoons of baking soda. I carefully inserted the paper towel into a bottle of vinegar, very careful not to get the soda wet with vinegar. I screwed the cap on tight. I shook the bottle once and attempted to throw it like a hand grenade. The bottle broke in my hand and I was covered with vinegar.

That is the exent of my chemical bomb making. :-)

Hey peeps...
Good to see I will be missed when I will leave, but there is nothing to worry about. Just a shift in focus, where I think SL is getting way too much focus at the moment. And since I cannot run my business as I want to with even less time, I decided to sell out.

If I do not get a reasonable offer I might stay, because I do not want to render my hard work worthless. But the intention is leaving.

What is a sour grape for me, is the comments in the sale thread though. Even by people who have been plugging their stuff in this thread (you know who you are). My thread is not a plug for my store, but an effort to sell it, with pain in my heart even. And you may all know it took a lot of effort not to throw some serious rocks back in there...

As a friend says: Be Well :-)

Nothing that I can think of. I would hire you in a second. :-) The people that work for me come in late with stories of alligators on the interstate and other such nonesense.

Yes, but state troopers closing the interstate and backing up traffic for 8 miles would. :-)

You know what they say.. stuff happens.

Best wishes Marcel. I hope you do drop by occasionally, you are a true Raconteur.

As far as your thread goes, I took it as giving the people here a first chance offer on your business, you get to sell it, and someone who wants to run it gets a ready to go business, the possibility of it being a friend even better. It was a win win.

As for the tight assed hypocrites out there.....Fuck 'em.

Au revoir, Frenchy...... :p

Wow, posts get buried so fast in the thread.

Good luck in your endeavors Marcel. Hope all goes well with you.

As to work; I cannot seem to be late even if I try. I seem to have strange compulsion to always be early even though I can pretty much show up whenever I want to. I guess us workaholics are just crazy.

HEH! I had an interesting weekend.

If you're 5'6" 39 yr old male, hopped up on percs/uppers/downers and lots of alcohol, with a 'just operated on' foot in a cast, walking on crutches... don't pick a fight with the SOBER 5'1" 98lb 39 yr old male who's in perfect shape at a college graduation party. ;)

FYI: I didnt get to slug the guy. It was close tho. SO close! But I decided to be more civilized and just walk away. Had he started to stand up, yea, then he'd be laying down. Besides, the party-goers had had enough of his asking women if they wanted to see his penis. Such a class act!! And I'm sure his 8yr old daughter enjoyed her dad's antics. She was also one reason I didnt want club him with his own crutches. No sense in traumatising the kid.

There's point at which annoying people are so horrible that you stop being so annoyed and have to feel sorry for them. This case seems to be approaching that point. It's heartbreaking that the poor eight year old has to have this guy for a dad.

Yeah, I cringed when I read the part about the 8 year old DAUGHTER...
