Will this VB code/links thingy ever get turned back on? I'm lazy, I like to click the link, not type in the url or cut and paste.

Actually I wanted to comment on something else: I just read the RPG Guy threads that have been locked. OMG how could I have missed those? That dude wins all the prizes as the most annoying, self absorbed, arrogant ass I've ever seen. (That wasn't in Congress).

*makes note to look at sub forums that don't interest me from now on.*

He's an aggressive little monkey, it's true, but this is not as funny as that interesting lady trying to sue LL via the forums. Atleast the RPG guy started with an interesting point and went down hill from there - a truly epic thread needs a pointless original post.

I interpreted his original post as a suggestion that a standardised approach to roleplay should be adopted by all roleplay areas in SL, not by the whole of SL itself.

Sorry, I know rationalising it removes the humour. I'll try and do better next time :D

I liked where he said this the best:

From: Ishii Ishii
So, here you are, debating semantics, vainly trying to prove how right you are, casting out the villain, all this and that. And here I am laughing at you because your milling about which you seem to think is incredibly important only matters inside a very tiny glass bubble which mirrors your vision of things favorably back upon you. And while you might create wonderful theater for an audience of yourself and those whose glass bubbles look remarkably like your's, following all these rules of freedom and respect and fair play and whatever bogus notions of life you've concocted to dillude yourselves, I'll be out here laughing at how tiny your bubbles really are.

I'm going to put this in my auto-signature I think.

Did you read the other threads as well? What a riot. I have the benefit of being a non Gamer so I don't have to ratiionalize anything myself, but i see your point.

 I can't say anything. The truth speaks for itself. :(

So the series was a draw. 3 games each.

(The Mets took 2 out of 3 in May)

I withdraw the point. The thought occurs to me now that a standardised approach, even if limited to designated roleplay areas, will serve only to remove the motivation to innovate. This would be a dark day indeed for SL.

I don't know when (UB|B|V)BCode will be turned back on. But I wrote a greasemonkey script that handles it.

It's kinda against the forum guidelines to comment on locked threads (falls under reposting).

He is all that you said and more :)

I was a little bummed that you guys were missing the thread, since you could have really livened it up, but was a little shy about pointing it out.

Indeed. I hadn't noticed until this morning, though. When you next sign in, you will find yourself $500L richer, and will also have one of my Wave Katana swords in your Recent Items. In addition, I paid 2,500 to a Relay For Life kiosk.

Thanks for the fix, and I take your point on reposting. I figured it might be pushig it a bit. :)

Very cool, thanks for the script! I had forgotten about commenting on locked threads when I threw my two bits in, I apologize.

P.S.: There's still a thread of his open, though :)

Never be shy to point us to a good read. Even if you have to use PM.

PS I hope you will honor the Forum Cartel with your memberhip. :)

Well, in fact, the only reason I've held out was because you and I have disagreed on hotly debated topics in the past and I wasn't sure if the offer was open. But with an invitation like that, how can anyone refuse?

It's not a big deal this time and thanks for the heads up, didn't know there was a third thread.

The third, and as yet unlocked, RP thread mentionned here is actually pretty reasonable and has stayed largely on topic. That's because it was started by a different guy and the OP of the two locked RP threads has only posted on it once :D

That's a great quote. It reminds me of the French guy from Monty Python and The Holy Grail : "I burst my pimples at you, Stupid English Knights". (Pronounced kinnigitts)

The Group Charter states all forum Animosities are to be left on the Forum and that is Our Golden Rule. Besides, I never take a personl stance on Forum Arguments . Just because we disagree on a subject doesn't mean we can't agree on the next one. I've never had a problem with anything you've said, in fact i can't even recall any disagreements off hand. Plus your generosity over the past few days in our forum banter shows where your head and heart are. You'd be welcome in any group I am a part of. And in the Spirit of Charity I have donated the proceeds from the Underwear auction to relay for life as well.

I must say the banter was quite entertaining, and I'm always happy to donate to a good cause.

I have accepted your invitation, with thanks and warm wishes for all members.
