It's not just the First Look viewer that has no in-viewer account history. The Beta version running on the Aditia grid also has no in-viewer account history that I can see.
I use it so little that I had to exit Beta and start up the main viewer just to make sure that the in-viewer Account History still existed in the main viewer.

Did nobody read the part of the blog where they said that during tomorrow's downtime they will be addressing the web based transaction history, so it's basically a wash? Has everyone lost their minds, and figured Linden Lab is out to ruin them? Dogs and cats, living together?? Mass hysteria?!?
bleh.
Relax, and have some more koolaid.

*chuckles at Brace's post* Zaphod: Well, that's assuming a great deal; if it is unsustainable in the client, why would anyone think it is more sustainable via a web page? From: The Blog Right now, the web-based transaction history is generally far behind real-time, but during Wednesday’s operations maintenance we’ll be upgrading the hardware of the databases involved, which should allow it to keep up. (emphasis mine) There's a lot of "should be this, should be that" in the past year which hasn't quite panned out. We'll wait and see, though. One thing is for sure, it "should be" interesting. Oh, and we already have dogs and cats living together. Drop by FurNation sometime.
