This might be a good plan. But it seems that the ladies are looking for a Sugar Daddy. Every time he spoke to a woman last night.....they wanted to know if he owned land....how big it was....can he build....does he have a house....how big is the house....can he show them......

Maybe he was hanging out in the wrong places. I'm not sure where to send him for the Sugar Mama types. You have some experience with this?

A man will be measured by his land, and not his...

SL is certainly a fascinating place. /me chuckles

But clearly it seems that where one hangs out will determine the types of ladies attracted.

I have no personal experience with a sugar-mama, but have been involved in a relationship for three years with a lovely Lady I met while exploring and both of us having discovered some common interests in literature and history.

MM might find some luck while shopping and "agonizing" over how nice XYZ would be, but sadly doesn't have the funds available. Striking up some conversations with the ladies in the vicinity might work to his advantage. While Ladies love a sharp dressed man, they do like well-mannered and spoken men as well (well, some do).

But I would suggest hunting for suagar-mamas in shopping locales and perhaps more upscale regions of SL. Let the ladies take some pity on his plight and help him out.

Good luck.

Well, if "manliness" is primarily a sexual feature . . . whether determined by evolution or social conditioning (and probably a bit of both, in fact) . . . then surely it is those whom it is intended to attract who are the best judges?

Homosocial behaviour -- towel flicking, butt slapping, beer drinking behaviour -- seems to me to be of an entirely different order. MM can seek help for that sort of thing from Vance.

But on the other, I think it is clearly WE who are the best judges, no?

I never said you weren't the best *judges*. I am merely suggesting that women are
probably not the best *teachers* on how to be a man. It's a very important distinction. That "manly man" can't get any men to help him is irrelevant to the argument.

I'll ignore your jabs about male stereotypes as tongue in cheek. I know an intelligent women doesn't truly believe them to be typical.

As an example...
a panel of females designing the perfect man may decide this "manly man" should always agree and support their decision. However, after implementing these features into their final product, they may be oddly disappointed in this behavior.

Hypothetical, but I hope you understand the point I am making.

Of course we do. This thread is 99% in jest.

I think that's the wrong impression though... this isn't women teaching a man how to be a "manly" it's women commenting of what they find attractive in a man... which I'd think would be a near perfect demographic... well at least if they're not lesbians ;)

Yes, he does!

He went to the strip clubs that had men working, too. He was psyched, and ready to go to work. He studied. The womens' tip jars were full....and the mens' tip jars had 10L. He's thinking that with his current "issue"....he had no chance of a shot at even 10L. And the women were IMing him so much, that he would never be able to concentrate on a "customer."

So he did what any Manly Man would do.....he sent his Sister in!
Of course, he has some scruples, so he advised her to put on as many articles of clothing as possible....and do not remove anything....unless you get a 500L tip. And remove it slowly, very slowly.

She was able to get the funds he needed....and Montana Man will be back on track!

I am NOT taking the rap for this!!!!!

Anyway, it's clear that Montana Man needs help and guidance with something else now . . . the whole "stripping thing / pole dancing thing." Long-suffering as I am, I'm willing to do what I can to assist.

Give me a shout MM, and we'll set up a meeting to run your through your paces. I'm happy (*sigh*) to offer whatever constructive criticism I can . . .

;)

Oh sure, deny any responsibility. We'll see how you feel when he is destitute and living in some back alley... a shell of his former self.

OMG, this is unfolding like some parody of "male sensitivity." Are you men REALLY sooooo deeply invested in your penises that even the slightest mention of CONSTRUCTIVE criticism will damn you to a hell of impotence???? Would MM respond this way if I had critiqued instead his choice of hair colour?

It's a DICK, for god sakes! A couple of pounds of extraneous flesh, muscle, and arteries! It is NOT the seat your entire self-identity and worth!

Or is it?

Oh geez, I don't know. I've never actually weighed one. On its own I mean . . .

Actually, I've just googled "penis" and "weight" . . . and the stuff that showed up . . . !

This is an SL penis, so that's probably on the small side.

Yes. :)

Forwarding to Montana Man. He is so confused now....poor thing. You say one thing to him on the beach...implying that it is the end all be all. Now you are telling him that it doesn't even matter, after he has been stressed about it for days.

Make up your mind! And stop toying with the man!

You think he got the "Compensator" model?

(yes, that really is the name for one brand of SL naughty bits)

Would one of you guys out there please weigh yourself, and give us some numbers we can use as a baseline?

It's the Xcite3 model, and it's not modify...but there is an extensive instruction notecard, that tells you how to change color with a color HUD. I can build a sofa....but I cannot help Dude with this! It's too complicated.

So he went back to the Xcite store, and they have textures there. He got the tan texture. Hopefully it won't be too complicated, and he can get squared away.

Argent - there were a ton of ways to adjust it, that were mentioned on the notecard. Basically, it is modify...just maybe not as you would a normal object. You have to go through their instructions. I don't know how a noob would do this, without help. No wonder those poor guys are walking around SL the way they are. This is serious business.
