WOW I must be lucky as most of the friends I have made are still on SL, Im a friendly guy (especially to the ladies lol) and like to make friends and now talk to them in Voice WOOT.

But I do know people who has lost friends in SL mainly through changes in RL suitation.

Where has everyone gone whom I knew?

I look round sometimes and see tumbleweed ... anyone else ever feel like that? 'Friends' who are there when there's something to see or do but you stop and take count and think ... "when was the last time you and I ever had a meaningful conversation?"

So many of the people I was close to and cared for have left, and I mourn them. I wonder where my friends have gone and realise I have a list full of new people (to me, but also mainly young avatars).

Am I alone in that?

Secondlife has one of the shortest turnover times, unlike some games that have a lot of parts to go though in order to get deeper into the story line. Secondlife has short term stuff. your friends that you meet for the first time you play... may leave sometime.. gets lonely even my own partner in SL left so I have to discontinue the partnership :(

(I am single... looking for someoen :( )

This just sorta happens when you've been in Sl a while. believe me i can write a book on it. Most of the people on my 700+ friends list are people who don't even log in any more for over a year. Once in a while i try to prune it but theres some names i just can't bring myself to remove. And they build up. People i miss dearly but lost contact with long ago.
