From: Echo Dragonfly Not to derail this thread, but I too have made a public boat launch, it's on the mainland at http://slurl.com/secondlife/Pimushe/38/128. It's on a huge inland lake, with over 20 linden void sims to enjoy. Look for the Pimushe Marina sign. Also please note there is a 30 min auto return set. This was a great idea Ava, I think more of us should do the same for the boating public  Not derailed at all... the more public boat launches, the better! /me makes a note to go play at Echo's place tonight.  |

From: Ava Glasgow Now offering free hanggliding! NOT offering free hanggliding anymore.  Turns out there is a problem with the party hanggliders, and they are not de-rezzing as they should after a person dismounts. Now I am getting hanggliders returned to me from all over the Nautilus Continent, surely making myself a few enemies. Sadly I can't transfer it, but if anyone has a private island and wants to borrow the hangglider party temporarily, just let me know. As long as I have build permission on the land, it can rez the hanggliders. They'll be in my name, so when the party is done, you can just auto-return them to me. As for Nautilus Harbor, I did leave the sky launch up, so everyone is welcome to launch their own air vehicles. |

Oh you have to constantly adjust them.. i see where that would be a problem then. Yeah then the best place would be the old mainland continent with the big inland sea. I found a strip of Linden water there just off, but connected to the big lake that allows rezzing vehicles of any size, and all the waters there are script enabled. I can post the location later if anyone is interested (at work now). |

Haven't contacted the creator, might do that this weekend, but then again I'm more the type to say "oh well" and move on. Still, I should give him feedback so he knows about the problem. I don't think it's about script disabling, because I was getting returns from literally across the continent. I tested it a few times myself, and everytime and everywhere, it did the same thing. It stays rezzed after dismount, and only de-rezzes when I try to ride it a second time. Perhaps this is my karmic punishment for abusing the system by purposely causing border-crossing crashes just because it's so much fun. I'm going to look into this no-script thing some more. If the sailboats really don't work, I think I may submit a JIRA ticket asking that scripting be turned on for the Nautilus continent's Linden oceans. It just seems silly for LL to set so much ocean aside, but make it unusable for sailing. For all we know, it was just some silly oversight. |

Speaking of boating an stuff... I talked with the owner of the kayaks I mentioned, an got him to put them in at Livingtree. More than jes his vendor, there is now a small landing with two public kayaks which'll allow you to kayak around the island for free an stuff. You'll find em at Livingtree 188, 237, 22For fun, here's a piccie of the landing. We're still doin' some landscaping up there, but they're fully functionable.  Mari
