Is it me???? All what I have read, I still do not get a 'picture' of what exactly you are asking of people here. Your openning question is 'what is a fair wage', well that's like asking whats a fair price for an object, that you won't tell them what it is, until after they have answered your first question!
If you truly want a straight answer, give the information and don't be so evasive. When I read 'We found a system that allows free copying, but prevents modifying.' I would immediately ignore this as some sort of scam, combined with the ambiguity, I am almost certain it is. If not, then give everyone what they have been asking, and quit making this thread bumped up the top of the post.

From: AWM Mars Is it me???? All what I have read, I still do not get a 'picture' of what exactly you are asking of people here. Your openning question is 'what is a fair wage', well that's like asking whats a fair price for an object, that you won't tell them what it is, until after they have answered your first question! I think I provided enough information to give a fair estimate. For some people it seemed to be enough, for others it did not, I got the information I wanted and will start with the 120 Lindens and see what happens. My last post was an answer to the request of 3 Ring Binder, I'm sorry if that was slightly offtopic, and will answer that with an IM next time. From: someone ...quit making this thread bumped up the top of the post. Kinda pointless as long as I don't have anything up and running to make the thread bump up for? I really only answer questions as far as I think is reasonable. You are right, some of these should go to IM and I will do so. And for the rest of this pointless scam/no-scam debate, you'll see soon enough. There is no reason for me arguing with people here, as the machine will be online the next days, so you can judge for yourself if I really invest time here to make a complete idiot out of me...

What forum participants think is "reasonable" really doesn't matter. What matters is what people ingame are willing to do.
This is a classic marketing problem. You want to maximize profit by finding the price where you get the biggest value for:
number of person-hours * (value of services per hour - cost of services per hour)
For those who worry about exploitation -- exploitation is a problem in the real world. In this case, it hardly applies. Those who want to participate will. Those who don't won't. To those who do participate, you're providing a benefit or they wouldn't participate. I'm assuming you don't use deceptive or predatory methods of soliciting employment, such as taking advantage of the ignorance of newbies. That would be another matter.
Good luck, and I'm curious too.

InSL u find every kind of no-life retard you could possibly imagine as well as a few even Tim Burton couldnt imagine u find 12yr-olds claiming to be 40 men claiming 2 be women, women claiming 2 make sense and every1 claiming 2 have ideas that are actually worth a damn if only someone would just listen to their unique innovative and exceptionally important idea

I was wondering why this thread was back from the dead.
I thought this could have been a great system but i guess maybe the op was more talk than action.
Its a shame really because i would really like to something like mechanical turk come to SL, it would benefit our economy greatly and actually provide a a real world service. I also think that more people would be willing to work for those wages in SL than in RL simply because of the fact that for some SL is simply a game and working in a virtual world is part of the fantasy.
I remember when i was a newbie i was looking for something like this to do but it doesnt exist so i had to resort to camping.
Who really cares if the wages are to low for some they dont have to do it but im sure someone would even if they are in china (id rather do this in SL than work in a sweatshop).

outside of dancing at odds/ends, i usually only see 2/10, and sometimes (rarely) 3/10. if there is camping for greater amounts than that, i've not seen them...... unless you use a gambling chair, but then you are paying in so it's not really 5/10 (or whatever)... or am i wrong?
