Phone weasel: A strange thing for the Lindens to investigate?

If it's a joke, I hope the person doesn't get in trouble.

For all of you saying this was inappropriate and chastising, lighten up. I don't think SL is going to go down because a Linden "stopped to pick up a peanut".

I sometimes joke in my job, yesterday I told a guy with a Dallas Cowboy Jacket that he had grafitti on the back of his coat (I'm a Washington Redskin fan), he laughed. It was a nice moment in an otherwise ordinary day. It didn't stop me or anyone else from working.

So for those of you being ridiculously critical, don't ever ever laugh in your job or you will cause your company to collapse, please. If you critisize this little bit of fun, then you must practice what you preach.

It may be a bit early for April Fool's ... but maybe they're compensating for the lag by throwing it out a week early; some sims may not get the message till the 1st April.

However, if you're in Wamego, Kansas, you are in luck.

Well If this is some sort of llabs april fools joke. Its not funny....I dn`t think people are refering to tot downfall of sl due to this abuse report posting. But as I remeber llabd workers do post april fools things in the past. But this one is just to dry......Maybe its the back of a sence of humor that is the problem here. By the linden that posted it.

This unprovoked aggression towards phone weasels must be stopped! Mustelic life forms have feelings too. They deserve to be protected just like any other SL creature. I for one completely support Linden Labs courageous decision in standing up for the rights of weasels of all kinds, and I urge my fellow avatars to make a firm stand now in support of human (and mustelic) values of respect and tolerance, before it's too late! I must admit I have never seen a phone weasel in the wild, but I'm sure they must exist, otherwise why would Linden Labs go to the trouble to defend them?

From reading this topic, it is blatantly clear that weaselphobia is a widespread and growing problem within SL. So many people are making light of this situation, even leading to some people here criticising the courageous Lindens decision, and defending of the perpetrator of the crime, rather than the poor, suffering, weasel-victim! This is truly shocking.

To combat this growing form of discrimination, I have decided to take action. I am announcing the immediate formation of the Phone Weasel Defense League. You can support this new movement by joining the newly-formed Phone Weasel Defenders group in Second Life. You can also help the movement by changing your Custom Text to read Phone Weasel Defender. Spread the word, and tell your friends!

Let us stand together in defense of phone weasels. Together, united, we can beat this growing problem!

It is not even in the Wikipedia.

No, it's not a doctored photo. The things he is wearing in the picture are like the things he wore in SL as part of his regular character.

I believe people made him those for real life for the first SLCC (somebody correct me if I have the details wrong), and he, being a good sport, put them on to have his picture taken.
