*whimpers* I'm a kitty, not a human. Humans step on my tail and pull my ears.

Poor Lex.... :p

I likes to pets and strokes the tails... and nibble on the ears...

But then again. I'm normally a husky running around sl.

I don't consider Ann either, actually...not kitty, not human, just Neko.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

Only if you disregard anthropomorphic animal stories from countries other than those in Europe. Such stories are very common, but they feature creatures that the listeners would know about, so each is different. Europe's feature mostly wolves, though I have also heard stories with talking cats, horses, and at least one donkey. Japan's feature cats (nekomata, for instance), raccoon dogs, and foxes. Then there's more recent history - Bugs Bunny and Mickey Mouse, anyone?

...

And there is the issue of mythology where the animal is anthromorphic and intended to be so (often a transformed human) and those, like U.S. Indian/Native American mythology, where the animal is an animal and variously can or cannot talk to humans, but display characteristics for teachable moments in the stories and usually carry consistent characteristics (mouse is mouse, rabbit is rabbit, turtle is turtle, not some malleable cartoon characters).

I've been all on that chart. And I want the to find the 70% and 100% kitties. I mean those specific kitties. My neko skin has fur on it, unlike most neko skins out there. My kitty doesn't match my neko skin though :(

Kitty>

Neko skin is same as in mermaid picture posted earlier, so will not overwhelm thread with pictures but refer back to it.

If your looking for a "70%" black jaguar skin to match your 100% kitty I would suggest checking out Amis . they make a dark grey / black skin with no spots. they are a bit expensive for a Neko skin at 2K each, and only have one makeup option, but are the most detailed Neko skin I have seen.

Also Check out Jungle VooDoo, they came out with a new line of furry neko skins in november which are very nice (my AV picture is one of the grey leopard)

I think it makes you a winged satyr. Greek mythology is great for mixed up hybrids, mostly because interbreed sex seemed to be a form of entertainment of the Gods. Some of the coupling would have required a miracle.
Leda and the swan I can almost understand, but Zeus appearing as a golden shower is definitely too sophisticated for me.

Kage Baker did a great riff of that in her "Company" stories in "Sky Coyote".

Thank you, I'll look as I'm always interested in exploring and looking at such stuff. I'd prefer a kitty, though, that looked more like my favorite neko skin. As my favorite neko skin creator closed shop, and as my favorite neko skin does not do the "naughty bits" that well, I'll look closely at the skins.

I think I've been to VooDoo before. Maybe. If so a long time ago. Recall seeing tribal tattoo skins, instead of fur. Was long time ago, and maybe different place, though.

I'm more of a domestic kitty than wild. So skin is of orange domestic kitty. Actual kitty form, though ended up being wild kitty. hehe.

Oh, and most importantly - skin must match furry ears and tail. Love those. They are not the ones in my forum picture. That picture is from something like June 2007.

Have to go visit a client, but wanted to take a moment to tell my favorite anthropomorphic story.

It seems that a large group of bears were moving north towards home through medieval Europe, with prisoners taken from the Medditerranean. As they were viewed with great suspcion every where they went, with the walled towns locking their gates, to create good will they would give each town a couple of prisoners from Athens. Of course, it was a scheme and at night the 'prisoners' would unlock the gates and let the bears in. The bears would eat the townfolk and the 'prisoners' would take the gold. Ever since they have said, and we all know the saying:

Beware of bears gifting Greeks.

Or something like that.

Reminds me of the hacker who turned Good Guy. He would hire himself out to companies and even individuals who needed mad computer skillz to hunt down cyber-crime.

His specialty was exposing scams and con artists of all types. He became really good at it and was so successful that he started a computer security company called, simply, "Geeks".

The firm developed a Reputation, and cyber-criminals everywhere learned....

....to beware of Geeks baring grifts.

Yeah.
I came into SL seeing that kind of neko as the norm. So when I found out neko seems synonymous with grunge and belts and random doodads (fishy bits etc) here it was kinda surprising and weird... xD

Neko = cat in Japanese.

Nothing more, nothing less.
The whole Neko thing is just a few Japanese wanabees, knowing a word or two, and think it's cooler to have Neko-mimi, and not just cat-ears.

summing up, Neko is cat like clothing, to make you look like a humanoid cat.

Exactly!
