Rats!

I just looked up to discover how to make Spike my partner. There is a fee involved, and I wouldn't mind that, but your partner HAS TO BE ANOTHER AVATAR!!!!

This is an outrage!

Speaking as someone who once fell in love with the robot Crow on Mystery Science Fiction Theater 3000, I'd like to know what makes LL think that we can't have viable and meaningful relationships with inanimate objects!

I'm totally bummed now. I was so looking forward to putting Spike in that slot. I guess I'll have to write it in on my profile somewhere.

coco

P.S. Hey, I think I'll put him in my picks as well!

P.S. No, no no, I got a better idea.

Once this lady said that one of my posts was the best thing she had seen written ...

My dear, I return the compliment and hope that the robot crow was at least flattered, not leaving you with the angst of unrequited love. Either that or one day you nicked it's engine oil.

Partnering should give the other person:

1. the ability to open, take, and put things in your inventory or maybe a shared inventory folder?

2. access to your lindens or to at least see how many lindens you have.

3. land rights, house rights, prim rights granted automatically and cannot be turned off.

4. ability to see where you are on map and cannot be turned off.

5. can't choose to appear offline to partner or mute partner.

Groups wouldn't be a useful way of having multiple partners.
You could only be married to a max of 25 people at any one time - and that's after dropping all other groups. It's not enough.

SL should allow us to be married to an unlimited number of people simultaneously. We should also be able to change our surnames to the spouses surname depending on who was our favourite at the time. If we are undecided on that, we should be able to have hyphenated surnames.

It's already sorta like real life. Breaking the partnership is more financially expensive than creating the partnership.

K -ill give it a shot.

Of COURSE partnering is only for 2 peoples! Those Polyamorous people are pre-verts.

ZOMGS they allow same sex Partnerings! Don't they know thats illegal in my state?

They even let Humans partner with Furries. Thats just wrong.

SL partnering should be Just like RL with a marriage licence and everthing. And Divorce lawyers.

And when you end a partnership All Land owned by either partner should be forcably put up for sale at a discounted rate.

After its sold off- ALL LINDENS (not just from the sales) in both accounts between the partners should be added together then split equally.

If one partner had a sucessful business and the other didnt, the Sucessful one should be required to support the Ex-Partner in the "Style to which they had become accostomed" for 6 months or until the next partnering.

Any SL "kids" should be automatically Orphaned and forced to work in the Prim Sweatshop.

Well, as we all know, marriage has been defined as being between one man and one woman. Partnering is not the same. So You can be anti-marriage without being anti-partner. I'm afraid that you will have to declare additionally your anti-partnership status.

I'm locking this because of thread necromancy and for being a discussion of the "General" persuasion. In this situation it would have been better to post a new thread for your question (Which you may do without fear of being caught in the reposting clause).
