No forum for me Windswept. Only limited time in sl also. My world moves apace. My friends have been here all along and I am going to miss them. I'll miss you also. The forum shaped out sensibilties and personaltiies. I wish we had had teh time to know each other better than we did. Love to you, Jiggy.

Jig, I want to thank you, so much, for brightening my days. I love your varied interests, your enthusiasm and lust for life.

I've enjoyed reading your threads and your posts, no matter the content. You always lead with your heart, and in my book, that's never a bad thing.

As you know, I don't post much outside "the" Thread...lol, I've never felt as if I had anything to say or any good suggestions for SL problems...but I've certainly read every one of your threads.

Know that I think of you often, and with fondness. *smiles* I was very pleased to bump into you that day at Weston's art exhibit.

I wish you all good things...wherever the winds blow you.

I realize this may be odd coming from me, Jig. For whatever reason you (or rather your posts) generally annoyed me to no end. Reason would have it to just quit reading, but something drew me back.

As you said, we are all real people behind our posts and avatars. I am a what you see is what you get person, including my sometimes fiery temper and not-thinking-before-posting. Then I would feel badly about what I said.

Another thing you touched on in this post is that we are all dealing with something in our lives.

This will likely seem like I'm only posting this due to all the goodbye posts, but it has been bothering me for awhile. So, in all sincerity, I apologize for the often very unkind and sometimes scathing remarks I have directed toward you and ask for your forgiveness. It is not the kind of person I want to be and I bet if we sat down over a cup of tea, we'd find some common ground. I wish you well, Jig, and if you ever wish to IM me in SL, I would enjoy that.

I'm getting a sense from some of your posts that you'll be leaving the grid soon, as well as the forums (well, they're leaving us). If you do find yourself out on the road and far from the Web...have wonderful adventures! And then, when you can, come back to us.

Oh...and before you go, you need to train your replacement for Lindal and Jig's Camp Followers. Replacements, I should say. I figure we'll need six girls to take up the slack.

That's unfair, Rio - it is all about her, 'cause she has been apart of all of us- whether liked or not. She is being a focus for everyone's angst and putting it it out there very well.

It's not Jig who's done that, Rio -- even if that is a fair summation of what this thread is doing.

No, Rio. It's all about us...our forum community. There are a lot of threads here, and there will be more over the next few days, all about people saying goodbye in different ways.

Jig started this one, and like all Jig's threads it's strongly, er, Jig-flavored. No matter. Marianne has a goodbye thread too, and there are lots of more general ones.

There's room for everyone to say farewell to everyone else.

Just remember...it's goodbye to these forums, but not (mostly) to the people of our community. Most of us will still be found in world, in the Cartel group chat, and/or on one or more of the other SL-related forums out there.

A change, a new chapter...but not an ending.

You had all the time in the SL world to get to know me if you wanted so please dont make such statements. The same as I had time to contact you many times in SL but chose not to.

I'm not sure exactly what does that tell me? Sorry, I am not a mindless sheep who is going to gush over someone I barely like just because the forums are closing. Quite a few of you have told me in confidence you can't stand the woman, so I am blown away a bit right now.

All I see is the same attention seeking selfish behavior I have always seen from her,so I commented on it. I call them like I see them. If you don't agree, that's fine with me. But please don't try to give me that "oh everyone else likes her so it must be you" shit.

That's not really the point though- it was her thread and she was saying goodbye - some folks decided to post and say good bye back.

Some of them also admitted they found her posts grating or annoying or infurating. I can't see any reason to post if one doesn't like her or doesn't think they will miss her or any such thing. I imagine there are some people that looked at it and said, "Oh great, with the forum closing I won't be subjected to any more Jig threads." Like they say, it takes all kinds.

I suppose she could have titled it "Jig says good bye to the people that she liked and liked her back and those that she pissed off but they still tolerated her but does not want to talk to people that could not stand her" But that might have been a bit long.

This. if ever a forum needed Jigging that one does. plus i'd pay real money to see what happens when she and Daria meet up.
