This is my little bit of underutilized paradise. What a location! My house is still not entirely textured or furnished so don't point and laugh. One or the other but not both. My "shop" is understocked but I thought it was a clever concept so I started it up anyway. Maybe I'll get around to putting more in it this winter. Hint: It's across the stream.

Nothing to be wary of here unless you're afraid of rats.

Drop on by!

Here is my little sculptie Stonehenge-like artifact that I intend to include in a garden someday. It is a gateway to the skybox I am building. You cannot easily walk between the stones yet, but I am working that. You'll find a little doorway within the stone circle that takes you to the skybox. Watch out for the campfire! If you catch fire just dowse yourself in the ocean behind you.

The skybox is nowhere near decorated but at least all the prims are done. There may be a ghost prim blocking the doorway - if so use the posing stand I placed just inside the door to get in. Please relax and enjoy the downtempo ambient music I have streaming.

You folks in these forums helped me get this far. I can't wait to see what everyone else has done! -- KC

brash, it appears you force all tp's to your landing point. and your landing point happens to be in the middle of a large window.

edit: I think it is fixed now (*crosses fingers*). I just had to chop a big hole in the wall and move a big wide doorway where the two story window used to be, heh.

Just our home and garden, but we think it looks nice, and there's a couple of things to play with in the garden. Feel free to sit on poseballs, etc, just make sure you wipe them down afterwards. If you fly straight up 200m, you can bang your head on the platform where we're constructing our next home, which will be moved in next weekend.

I won't be around much the next 3-4 days, but my partner Blythe is always very welcoming. If you are reading this after the Open House Week finishes, feel free to drop in anyway, we're usually friendly, and if we're busy, we can always ignore you :).

Warning for the easily offended: there are various poseballs around, mostly just cuddles, but one or two are slightly more graphic. Also there is the odd bit of art that shows semi-naked AVs. Samhain and the neighbouring sims are pagan-oriented (and well worth a visit), and some of our neighbours are vampires or demons. We like living here, and if this is likely to bother you - don't come.

The Mausoleum (est. 10/04) is a gothic theme park by the sea with a pergola elevator leading to a sky garden. Eldraque is currently making us an old mine to explore and is in progress. Everyone is welcome!

Hello, fellow forum folk!

I compiled a freebie box of all the landmarks posted so far if you want it to be a little easier to navigate. It's available at the SURL I posted above for my land and I also gave Brash a copy.

It does not contain any landmarks for upcoming posts of course and there were a few places where I could not make a landmark or the ban lines were still up. I also did not include the resident's descriptions for the tour so you still should use the forum as a guide.

Sorry, to anyone who wouldn't want a landmark made to their land. I'm getting rid of my list after the open house week to respect their privacy. Also, sorry to anyone not ready for visitors. It starts Sunday and I got my days mixed up! --KC

Come by and see my renovation and upgrade to The Rickety Old Boardwalk:

http://slurl.com/secondlife/Goun/155/170/22/

It's pretty much finished cept for getting some more merchants and putting a few more lil decorations and accoutrements about the place. Very nice to walk around, enjoy the beach and the sounds. Surf if you have a mind!

Also, nearby if you turn around from that landing point, there is the Old Stone Lighthouse to pay a visit to. You can go inside too:)
If you are too lazy to fly or swim over:

http://slurl.com/secondlife/Goun/233/182/23/

and, while you are in the sim, please please! do go over to the Goun Nature Park that I am developing. My fight against ugliness on the mainland (not to mention the tedious sex adbox thingy on the sim right next door!) and enjoy the waterfall there. There is a nice lil stream and pond and I'm still working on my plantings, but feel free to come visit and hang out and just enjoy the surroundings:))

Not sure if it will still be there by the 5/15 - sorry, but you can visit now ;)

Oh, it's a PG SIM, so behave please !

Sorry, I just realized that the access was limited to my group - apologies to everyone.

Wanted to add also that I only started this build yesterday and that I am not able to do/add much more because of this horrible SL rez issue and/or missing content from inventories.
I have already lost quite a lot of stuff...

Meanwhile, I think that it is a great place to visit for this weekend, while we cannot do much in SL at the moment... Come and relax, but behave - I'll be around + in and out !

Swim suit allowed ;)

Haunted house
08-04-2007 20:09
http://slurl.com/secondlife/Goremoor/34/230/109

I am working on a haunted house type of thing which I call the Goremoor Nightmare. I'm just on a small bit of land, so it's not like some of the bigger haunted houses you can find in SL, but it's my little custom creation. If you go toward the castle, and toward the smaller tower, there is a teleporter there (behind the Under Construction sign) to start the nightmare. As this is a work in progress, don't expect to be very frightened yet and expect a lot of emptiness.

Also, see if you can find my hidden room somewhere in the dark forest not far from the castle. (hint: you must walk through ferns and rock)

This is a link to my store Heliconia. Come by and peruse my wares. There's a freebie box by the left wall. I'd love to show you a house or something but I don't really have any right now. Maybe I'll get some ideas by visiting your houses. ;-)

My personal residence/work shop is a work in progress....I doubt I'll ever finish it since I always find something to add or rebuild :) Just redid the fountain in the foyer and it's my favorite piece in the castle so far.

*Love* my little garden out back. Bunny and Clyde are always there....and I love the flowers.

http://slurl.com/secondlife/Archipelago Wild/128/128/29

That will take you to my store then fly up to 400 meters and go to the south east corner and you'll see my little castle.

I'll be around in the evenings, but enjoy the refreshments if I'm not there to greet you like a proper hostess.

Love and Desire

OK here's some links....

this is our home, all hand built by Fatima - the slurl will drop you at the entrance. Feel free to have a wander - but if we're "at home" might be as well to knock before entering lol
http://slurl.com/secondlife/Fatimas%20Love/61/74/57

This is for a small row of shops - the Estate office (& vendor boards) and Antique Artistry where Fatima sells her own creations (DO check them out - there is some real quality there, even if I say so myself)
http://slurl.com/secondlife/Fatimas%20Love/66/127/27

Generally please do wander around and play with stuff (although we do ask that you don't enter already occupied properties without invitation). The balloon tour SHOULD work...... takes about 5 minutes and only covers Love (I'll be putting in a multisim one in the next day or so)

On Desire we have a new small mall, based on the Rothenburg town build by Skimi Mission (some of the best build textures in SL, IMHO) - shops available etc etc etc. Oh and some cottages too. And the castle.....
http://slurl.com/secondlife/Fatimas%20Desire/182/133/24

Desire is our new addition, so come over and look around - we're not [i/]quite[/i] ready to advertise houses etc, but almost there.

I'd love it people checked out my newest sim Nerdagara Falls. It's a romantic city like setting and I've very proud of it. Can be found by looking up my name (Sarah Nerd) or Nerdagara Falls in places search or just by mapping Nerdagara Falls.

Feel free to drop by my place...

http://slurl.com/secondlife/huntsman/165/121/116

You'll arrive at my little shop downstairs. Upstairs (you'll have to fly) is my appartment. I've unlocked the door so you can have a nosey :), although there's not much there.
This is my original first land (512). I was one of the lucky ones that got some.

You could also have a look around the Razzle Dazzle Plaza and nearby Razzle Dazzle Lakeview Homes...

This isn't my place, but I helped a friend to build it. I have a little shop there too.

Feel free to drop by my house, it's always open -http://slurl.com/secondlife/Cult/226/175/47. You'll get dropped at the landing point in front of the shop, fly over the top of that and over the hill and you'll find my home and office. There's a whole island to wander, and some birds you can feed. :)

Damn! My ISP's been giving me problems so I'm in too late on this. Anyway, this is my home. - http://slurl.com/secondlife/bel Drift/86/28/21. There's a hot-tub in the summerhouse but I crashed my airship into it! I'll try to clear it up this week.

One is never just late Suzi..one is fashionably late...(whispers..look at the post above..)

Sadly I don't have an airship (yet), not even one in a hot-tub, all I have is an Island..a barren..desolate..empty Type 1 Island (pre-development stage). Oh I do have several freebie sailing boats bobbing just off shore..I keep losing them up there in Corsica and they keep coming back usually accompanied by an E-Mail.

Feel free to drop in (it's the only way) and have a wander around the 'desolation'..if you haven't seen a 'Type 1' close up in it's original virginal form..now's your big chance; why not have a sail around the Island.

Oh..the Island's being relocated sometime soon (free of charge by LL..can you believe it) so if you teleport into the ocean..you'll know why.

Love to see you..http://slurl.com/secondlife/Laurentia/192/65/38

This is my new gathering place for friends and neighbors... just finished the majority of the work yesterday. It's a cross between a quiet club and a house, so I guess that'd make it a lounge. You're welcome to come by and check it out, hang out if ya like... sunsets are gorgeous there. Click the door to enter. There's 3 lightswitches on the water-side wall that control the privacy walls. Beer and popcorn at the bar. Protected Linden waterfront.
Mature sim - shouldn't be anything offensive around. I removed the nasties so all thats there are some regular cuddle stuff, and a grind dance.

Desperation Isle (mature content)
08-06-2007 10:20
http://slurl.com/secondlife/Desperation%20Isle/227/180/63/

Desperation Isle is a sim-wide tropical adult playground with a kink/fetish-based mall at the telehub. I like to think we're one of the more attractive adult builds on the grid, and we have a large number of regular visitors.

My favorite area is The Cave, which is only accessible via our teleporter system. I actually do have a "home" on the isle- it's a little villa in the NW corner of the region. I never really finished decorating though, since I'm normally busy with my SL family and my in-world businesses.

To the west of Desperation Isle lies Desperation West, my first residential rental property. According to my geologist friends some volcanic activity has been detected in the waters around Desperation Isle and some more islands might be surfacing there soon...

Here's my little place. Hopefully this SLurl will drop you onto the land and not into the water. I'm at work so I can't get the official one now.

This is Sand Dollars and Legato's Grotto. Legato's Grotto is the part to the right as you face the big buildings. It has a nice collection of artwork and 80's music playing. The rest of the area is Sand Dollars Beach Resort with oldies music, a dance area, a Freeplay game building, and a nice water area. Many people have told me they really enjoy the place, even though I've never felt that I was more than halfway done putting it together. In the coming weeks, I'll be putting in an underwater reef to swim around and replacing the waterfall that is being destroyed by prim drift. We are also adding a castle in the sky that will soon be available for private parties. Stop by to see what's there, but keep coming back to see how it's developing. It should be a lot better by the end of the month.
