And Kris Ritter.

I recall the tales of "Club Elite" in Federal, the struggles between BigJohn Jade and Cristiano Midnight.

I remember there was a homophobe or two who'd go on lengthy tirades. I don't remember the names.

I remember some preacher trying to promote his religion in SL and being treated quite poorly by atheists.

The thread where the OP claimed she was being stalked and harassed by Goreans. While omitting until later that she started it by going to their sim and mocking them.

I remember Juani Wu and Gabe Lippmann.

Also another Lippmann. I can't recall her first name, but I think the had a comment about toes in her forum appearance, and played a big part in a "SL Prehistoric" Flintstone style big party held near the Cordova sandbox and the vehicle sims years ago.

And Bhodi Silverman, known for her charity work.

Also there was a guy who wore diapers a lot, I think he was supposed to be an over-sized cherub. His first name started with a "D". Derwin?

And Darwin Appleby and Kathy Yamamoto. Huns Valen. Nexus Nash. Nolan Nash. Snark Serpentine. Jade Wolf.
Pituca Chang. Garth Fairlight.

And the gal with the really tall skinny avatar who got a picture taken dancing wearing something like two strips of yellow "Police Barrier" strips with Philip. Can't quite remember her name.

And of course Catherine Cotton.

And somebody Zeeman with a forum avatar of someone getting punched in the head over and over.

Pete Fats. Selador Cellardoor.

Billy Madison.

I wasn't here for the first post, but it appears to have been in thread 10.

Lynn Lippmann you might mean - she had that forum sig I think: "Toes for the toeless" (Land for the Landless was the first LL land project).
Devlin Gallant (a cupid) decamped for Wow a few years ago. He was the first person I saw wearing a Tiny, and gave me a lm.
Selador Cellardoor was one of the ducks at my big sekret plan last week.

The tall thin gal was Pendari Lorentz and here's the picture I mentioned:

I see Haney Linden's name in the chat, and Torley Torgeson's.

I also remember Jill Linden, who used to be a Liaison.

Second Life is where I finally learned to spell "liaison".

When I signed up Nova Linden's calling card was given to me, so I always thought of her as my Linden. I think the last, hurried thing she did was fix (badly heh) the missing road which had poofed from in front of my shop, adding some barriers, too.

When TT said he was leaving I made a Torley Trap to catch him, and when a newly-minted Torley Linden turned up he told me it had worked.

My fondest memories are of pissing people off by saying things either considered taboo, controversial, or not involving "SL".

But then again, I always did like getting a rise out of people. ;)

Lynn Lippmann has been a very much appreciated member of the Phyneas Jack Memorial Trust, the group that manages the Forest of Kahruvel, ever since the group first began. She contributed 3000 sq m. of group tier years ago and hasn't touched it since. Her last visit inworld was July 3rd, 2007 according to PJMT group records.

I remember her 2004 "Prehistoric SL" festival well. I designed the logo and signs for it as well as made a notecard with all the festival participants' cave locations in the Vehicle regions complete with landmarks. Here are a few photos from that three day event...

The four Vehicle Regions re-terraformed for the festival; Bethel, Brilliant, Fame and Fortuna

The Prehistoric SL logo and sign. The sign reads:

Three-Day Crafts Festival,

FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS
Caveman/Cavewoman Official AV Contest

Fashion Shows • Dinosaurs
Trivia and Treasure Hunts
Build a Dinosaur • Flintstone Car Races

Nice post, Salazar. Thanks.

An impressive list of names, to my mind.

And that reminds me of another old poster here, who is not on that list: Maxx Monde.

Now I can't remember if "Toes" was Lynn Lippmann or Lisse Livingstone's signature. Remember, either of you?

I know that Lynn Lippmann always ranted about the state of avatar toes. Not sure about Lisse. I always attributed the webbed toe effect to DNA handed down to present day avatars from the Mahran who populated the waters tens of thousands of years prior to the Erase.

Will avatar meshes necessarily bring animated fingers and such?

I loved the Trout ratings, then there was our search for missing Linden and many other memories. I appreciated the company for many years on the forum. I am very sad it will have to be gone. I am glad someone messaged me and told me its closing Tuesday. I most likely in next month or so will be selling my land maybe I don't know, I just been throwing money away in last year not really feeling that inspired right to do SL but I am still creating stuff and being grumpy under Dagon Xanith if you google me you find me. Mostly I remember my friends and those who have been kind to me, and Osprey's Christmas present year I returned after taking long break after beta. By the way Osprey I still have gift but having little issues with it since I reinstalled it on vista

Like many others, Trout's ratings, comments, answers - hell whatever he did - were my highlights. His departure from here (along with it becoming a more general discussion forum) was one reason why I no longer contributed, though I continued to lurk. I haven't seen his Letters to the Lindens; can someone post a link, perchance?

I'd also mention Pep's absurdio ad reductem deconstruction of just about everyone else's posts. For someone who was allegedly trying to improve communication, he did a fair old job of stopping it!

I've found Desmond's posts on business issues tremendous. Coming from a public service background, there's been many a time I've read his posts on what is basically Business 101 and learnt enormously. And thanks to all the other decent landlords out there, who have posted here, for confirming (if admittedly unacknowledged) that Fatima and I have been on the right track in relation to dealing with tenants.

Best wishes to you all

Inc
