<paranoia type="hopefully baseless" intensity="high"> Just say for a second that terrorists could and did organize meetings on their land to plan RL acts. Just then, sweet lil Kascha Matova comes wandering onto their property with her camera restraints off or wanders close enough to their house to see chat balloons of people inside. Suddenly, one of the men rotates his camera outside of the house and sees her! After a quick discussion with his foot soldiers, he quickly looks up her profile and, thanks to the new information disclosure and verification rules of SL, is able to get her verified information and a nice pic from her 1st Life tab! Due to the use of a very lax 3rd party verifier that likes to sell protected data, his organization is then able to trace down the rest of her vital info including address after buying it with a dummy company! Poor lil Kascha Matova! People will shortly be on their way over to 'talk' to her... </paranoia> This is a really stupid and completely impossible scenario. Right?  |

On the fifth day Philip created prim fish and prim birds and saw the potential for building. On the sixth day Phillip created Ruth and checked the box to change her gender. Then he created another Ruth but this time no box was checked. He told them to "be fruitful and multiply" and did they ever! On the same day Phillip created the tools to become any imaginable Furry. On the seventh day Phillip and the Lindons rested. The grid crashed and there was no-one around to fix it. |

The Catholics are coming to save us! AH! But to some religious people, using such a device is "worshipping a false idol", as you come to depend on it. This story is gaining traction here. It was on the morning news, with an 'expert' talking about it. They showed a bunch of footage with the story, only one still picture was actually from SL - the rest was from various games and even umm - cartoons. Some real quality journalism going on here.
Now when I tell people I'm in Second Life, I don't have to worry they'll think I'm a pervert. Instead, they'll wonder if I'm on a Jihad.

I figured the right wing press machine would complain about SL sooner or later, but they've managed to make themselves completely ridiculous doing it.
