Hm well if she was nice about it, I would sell and let her have the whole sim. But seeing she not, give her abuse report hell, then if you do sell sell it to a 16m plotcutter

If you slice it into 16m plots, you are as bad as she is.

That 512m2 of tier applies anywhere, not that I think you should move. When an avatar buys it's very first 512, it's free. It counts as "first land" and you encure no fee's. So right now, say, if a new player buys a 1024, and it's the first plot of land they've ever bought, then half of it, 512 of it, is free. This happens only once, to my knowledge, and that is the first time you purchase land. |

But you sell that 512 sqm of land and buy another 512 sqm plot anywhere on the grid and your new 512 sqm plot will be free of tier. Basically, you get 512 sqm of tier free land with your premium subscripting. It doesn't matter if it is your first plot or your 100th. If you own more then 512 sqm of land, you will then be charged a month tier fee. I hope I am being clear, I am a little tired right now. _____________________

If you sell this plot for, say $L6000, and buy another 512m plot for $L6000, you are in exactly the same position, financially. Your tier will not go up. 512 is included in your $6-10 per month premium fees. |

As has been pointed out - firstland meant you could buy a 512sqm for L$512 well below market value. The market value for a 512 plot is currently L$6000 so most people sell firstland to make a nice profit.
The 512sqm tier included in a premier account applies regardless of where you have land and regardless of what you buy and sell. If you sell the plot and buy a similar or smaller sized plot elsewhere your tier fess will remain the same (or at worst go down!). However, you don't need to sell at market prices since she is clearly so desparate for the land. Put a casino protest sign on it and she'll be even more so. Stick it up for sale at 5x (or more) market value and IM her to tell her it is for sale. If she buys it, go and buy a nice beach property (probably about 6-7K per 512sqm plot on the new continents), and pocket the rest. |

Hiyas Broken! Sorry to hear about your bad experience with Madame Spinach (games). Her emporium has to be one of the ugliest, most pointless places in the entire grid. I didn't know she was an ad-farm cutter, but I know that she's not a very nice neighbour and a CPU theif. The Arbor Project sound like a good crowd. I hope you find a good outcome to this.

Broken, in your place, I would sell. It must be incredibly frustrating to have a project in mind that requires you to hold all the land around you, and then have someone refuse to sell out of sheer stubbornness even though they're not using the land. I don't see an aggressor/victim relationship here, I see an evenly-matched fight

I'd sell at a high price, Casinos are going to need to be adult verified.

Ahhh, okay. I wasn't aware of that. I am new to this land buying game, and as it was explained to me only the first time you purchase a 512 was it going to remain free on your tier. Good to know.
And we are going to sell it at a very high price. Turns out there's a parcel nearby us where she pissed off the owner - they are selling a 512 for 100K. We're going to sell for a comparable price as well ^^; |

Just because someone has a specific vision for the area (albiet an incredibly hideous and lag-tastic vision), should not compell someone else who owns land, into selling. And then to stoop down to griefing methods, placing scripted objects on their land, and just generally making them miserable until they do give up the land is deplorable. It's bullying, and I'm less likely to respond with kindness to bullying. Vision's go out the window when you use threats and intimidation to get your way. It's not about her vision, or my vision, it's about principle, respect, and being an adult. |

Totally agree with that last statement Broken Xeno...
Bullying, in any form, is deplorable... Though my principles would make me want to stick it out just to annoy them I would not want the continued stress of bullying to take a toll on my actual health (which it undoubtedly would in the long run)... if it were me in your position I would simply offer the land up for sale at a stupidly high price and let her make the decision whether she wants to give in to you or not... |

Which is exactly what we are going to do. We're going to charge an obsene amount for the land and sit on it, like I tried to tell Iwana, I can leave the land vacant. I have money to burn, I'm paying basically five bucks for 3 512's there, so it's no skin off my nose to make her suffer until she gives in and pays a huge amount for the land. Sadly, for a woman who owns almost two whole sims, it's probably nothing but an annoying itch not to get that property.

Well Broken, you did say "or find a better way of dealing with it". IMHO trying to get revenge by asking for an unreasonable price is not "a better way". In my world the best way of resolving interpersonal disputes is for at least one of you to try and remain reasonable rather than *both* helping to escalate the disagreement.

Fill your property with good paying camping chairs and advertise it as such, soon you will fill the sim and she will have no one in her casino. It will take some patience but will soon drive her out.

You are a little confused. The old First Land program, now defunct, was for premium account-holders who had never owned land before. The 512m2 of land in that program was sold at 1L per m2. Tier and land are not the same things. _____________________

(Of course, you will have to pay the campers for the duration..) |

Do it. Don't just settle for 100K, though. Make her REALLY pay for all the grief she's caused you.
Set that sucker at 999,999 and refuse to drop even L$1 for this little scumbucket. If she's wanting your land -that- much, she'll pay it. You might think you don't, but you have every last bit of leverage possible by having you name as the owner. Some might think you're being an asshat by selling at such an 'extortionist' price, but if she wants it so bad as to turn to ToS violations, well... you have her by the proverbial balls, and if it were me in that situation, I'd squeeze until she screamed and then squeeze a little more for good measure. |

Had a look around the disputed regions... perhaps as well as setting your land for a high price you should suggest to the casino owner that they visit somewhere like the Ivory Tower to learn how to build basic structures?

Yeah, I know right? Lovely red structure she has going there. The land is set for 151k as of today, along with another 512 that is set at 71k as of today (we bumped the price up a thousand L just today, as we said we would every day.) Irregardless of if she buy's it, I'm going to keep doing this. I don't mind spending the money for the time being, and later on maybe I can just sell it to Arbor, to further spite her.

If you're not attached to the parcel any longer and want to have that sucker pay for real, chop it up in 16 m² pieces and sell them to different owners. I think that would give her hard time to piece them back together and perhaps there are one or two who place an even uglier ad farm right on the doorstep... That's what I call putting ad farms to some good use.

Perhaps I don't have a proper grasp of Missy Casino's mindset, but...
...if she wants a whole sim to herself...um, auctions? BUY a brand spankin' new sim, with no neighbours, and do what she wants with it. Or better still; buy a whole island, terraform it, and cover it with as many ugly-ass red boxes as her heart and prim-count can stand. No, it seems she's set her little heart on YOUR land, so I'd second the advice to take a little advantage of her greed and her stubbornness. In the meantime, though, rather than leaving the land empty, how about a nice stand of Linden trees, a landscape prim for background, a bench or 2...maybe a koi pond; take the spare land and prims and add a little beauty to SL, add to your good karma and make yourself feel better until she caves and buys/goes out of business (and either would be a win, wouldn't it?) |
