FWIW, there are places in SL that do "elopements" which are sort of halfway in between having a wedding and not having one. You can get a dress and invite a few folks, but it's very bare bones and doesn't require a zillion Lindens and months of preparation. My second wedding was, in fact, an elopement. It was my bride and I, and five guests. Search for "elope".

Listen its simple.
Dont get married. Shack up with the guy until he bores you. Dont have a joint bacnk account. Make sure he has his own place. Let him use your guest house until he has brushed his teeth in the morning and teh electric gat eis open then send him on his way.
Dogs and other things that are pets: Dont have them unless you can be sure you can handle them. Keep them outside. Dont sleep with them, they are not bedmates.
Enjoy material walth. Dont have kids until you have a license to do so in life experience. When they are old enough, send them to boarding school. Dont get mushy with them.
Husbands. pets and kids. Easy.

I havent a clue what a Scylla fan club would do. Stamp books on Fridays. I think I deserve a fan club more. Scylla just mooches around my place and complains all the time about why she never gets asked out. I say its easy - threee words: You Are Boring" Then she cries and says I am mean (but kind-hearted - which is total bull cos I am not kind-hearted,) I took those pics of her in her profile. I would liek a fan club. I would be honest at least and be as spoilt as I really am. Then you can get to know the real Jig.
