I've been in sl long enough to know that I want to get out of my default shape and skin. I've searched on "male skin" and "men skin" in shopping and toured most of the places. I'm finding some really nice female skins but nothing that looks as good for men.

OK, we know that the girls are supposed to look better than us, but can someone suggest some skin stores for me to shop?

Hi Cliff...

There's actually some really nice skins at Naughty Island and also RAC.... and there's one freebie skin that is reaily nice.....(called photorealistic Steve skin) probably the one you'll find at most freebie places. I feel for you guys cause there's not as many options (since you don't wear makeup, it's really all about facial hair and skin tone) Also Body Politik has good skin... keep looking....there's tons of places...and new ones popping up all the time.

BUY DEMOS
BUY DEMOS
BUY DEMOS

Shop around and find one you like. You will find that some skins work with some shapes and some look like crap on the same shape. So to be happy and not waste a lot of money on a skin you end up hating, BUY DEMOS.

I only wear Body Politik. But there are other good ones out there. BUY DEMOS.

So, Chris, let me make sure I understand...you're suggesting he pick up some demos?

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

Was I too subtle? I have a problem with that, not getting my point across. :D

Since no one has mentioned it,

I think the OP should buy some Demos

that way he can comparison shop.

I'm surprised nobody's mentioned it yet, but to the OP, you might want to buy some demos first.

All kidding aside, I'll throw in another vote for Nomine.

Here is a little list of skins I'd recommend for men:

RAC
Naughty Designs
Minnu Models
Good Life
Aitui
Million Dollar

And the other ones that have been suggested and I second or third the Demo idea. lots of them

And just in case you missed it - as Chris wasn't very clear in his post - BUY DEMOS.

Clifford come over to Devilfish - it's a mens mall, we've got a good number of skin and shape stores, ranging from skinny youthful and tanned to hairy older muscle hunks. We also have a store which makes ethnic skins and skins with facial hair...Don't see too many of those around.

http://slurl.com/secondlife/Dahlia%20Island/191/164/22

The mall is staffed so there will usually be someone to help you out with demos, how things look etc..

The prices start cheap too so it's accessible for newbies.

Midnight City is always worth a little wander around. There's a CMFF outlet there and another whose name escapes me, nearer to the central crossroads.
Last demo I tried I bought the real thing about 5 seconds later ... bit of a waste of 1L$ really ;)

I got mine at Good Life and I love it. I don't mind suggesting it because they have so many options.

In case no one has mentioned it, btw, please be sure to buy demos.

Did not see this free one, is it at both places?
Is it hidden a bit?

I think the Steve skin is a freebie you'll find in free boxes of stuff. It's also on the SL exchange for 1L. :)

Body Politik is good, as is Made Men. Hydro has an excellent asian man skin.

After much demoing, my partner ended up with a Cryogenic skin as his first. Quite nice. He's now also using Adam n Eve's most recent male skin, Jared, and that's a really good one.

Hi, i helped some friends to find a very good male skin over at Sarah Nerds freebie paradise. That skin was called "Cody" i think, and is easy to miss because the picture show the avatar in a horrible yellow hair. The skin itself has nice painted on short dark hair, and is well worth trying.

Read the slmen.com blog..................they had 2 new skinlines for men, one from Tete a Pied looking very, very handsome. Only 500 L§!

And go to the "Gallery" page here in the forum, and see "Enzo - my new skin" of Mac Ayres. Not a bad price on that either, 2 skins for under 800 L§. Good face on that one.

My alt wears a freebie skin from Sarah Nerds. I don't know if it's Cody or not. I don't remember the name. It's very good actually.
