I'm not sure which this falls under, yet. It's funny to me, but it's not my thread, and it is a little smartassy :

If you mean the 'necromancy' comment, doesn't that just refer to reviving really old threads (with old arguments or controversies) that have moved several pages back because of disuse?

Necroposting is the common phrase, so... Yes.

But necromancy also has a broader meaning :
From: Wikipedia

Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Necromancy

Necromancy (Greek νεκρομαντία, nekromantía) is a form of divination in which the practitioner seeks to summon "operative spirits" or "spirits of divination", for multiple reasons, from spiritual protection to wisdom. The word necromancy derives from the Greek νεκρός (nekrós), "dead", and μαντεία (manteía), "divination".

And I've never really known posting on very old threads to be against the rules, so it just struck me as funny. Maybe I'm just weird that way.

I just think Strife is somehow finding time these days to occasionally put in something intelligent. Don't let the other Lindens find out, or they'll start dumping more work on him (her?) and the locks will get boring (and sometimes over-hasty) again.

'Strife" got to be a woman, rimes with wife, and describes my usual experience with women.
:D

And if I had been upset about the lock I would have IMed strife and informed them in no uncertain terms about it.

If it was genuinely funny, I don't suppose I'd mind much. If it was a smart ass comment, yeah, I'd be a little peeved.

In my opinion a thread is "Dead and Burried" if no one had posted on it on a month.

Thats true Thread necromancy.

If its just a week or so or just buried a few pages back, thats just Thread CPR.

Let's form a circle and attempt to perform a ritual summoning of Strife.

Do any of you visit Second Citizen? People there really hate strife. I said something nice about him there once and was nearly beaten to death.

I wouldn't want to do Strife's job, I've been a forum moderator once and thoroughly hated it because whatever I did, someone always hated me for it...not something I would want to do again. That's why, despite the teasing and everything, I have great respect for Strife. And because he IS human (not talking avatars here...), of course he might make mistakes. But then there are not many other resmods here who do the unenviable task of locking....

People at the Second Citizen are quite the opposite of the living citizen.

I just went there. I read a few threads. That was just.....I can't describe it. Bile doesn't begin to describe it. I have never seen so many "f***s" in one place. That was SO not funny. :(
