I know it has got to be true because my friends cousin's sister is married to the garbage man that pick up the garbage next door to a Linden. ROFL. So, anyone else enjoy Strife's little quips while locking threads? ^^ I hereby propose that *every* thread Strife locks *must* be accompanied by a quip. No exceptions... *mews* Strife...keep up the good work! LOL /me waits for quip... xD

Strife seems like a pretty cool guy to me - I say we allow him to be human and do his job. But I agree with Aimee - no thread locking without a joke.

Someone posted the resmod rules a while ago, where it said that mods should not lock threads unless completely necessary. They are supposed to try to steer the thread back on course first. However, Strife's *locks* post is often the first time he/she is even seen on a thread. Not sure how that squares with the resmod rules really.

I have read enough negative comments that I admit I had a negative impression of Strife. Upon seeing a few of the witty closing comments myself Strife seems like a pretty good egg to me.
Keep it up Strife. And thank you for taking on such a thankless job!

On other forums I am very well known for thread drift; I tend to run off on tangents. It is quite common for mods to try to steer the thread back to the original topic. Sometimes I'll try to help, some times I turn it right back around again. I mod at a forum, and sometimes I have been known to redirect a thread to it's off topic topic, just because it's a better topic So correcting thread drift is up to the mod, because very often the drift is better then the thread. |

We work very hard for those locks
