Worst. Resmod. Ever.

Pulled this in for review from ... Notices and Well Wishes.

If i am to be judged i would prefere a jurry of my peers.

Strife, no moving threads into hidden forums (unless a Linden says otherwise). And I keep saying, always differ to a Linden when a thread involves you personaly.

Moving back, but into the public Resmod forums.

im not going to get into it but my experiances with strife and resmoding have been quite decent, and quick

and no the worst resmod ever was some dude that had something like 12 post, and was totally unaware of the guidelines (i wouldnt mention his name even if i remembered it but nomatter they are long gone)

I don't think there's a single resmod nor Linden with whose decisions about locking/moving I 100% agree. But Strife generally gets it right IMO, even if he could sometimes use some humour in his responses and explanations. Actually the one where he threw steak on the flames was pretty good for that even.

So, without the irony that is obviously intended by the title of this thread

Now this post i agree with. You'll never agree with 100% of any moderators actions but Strife has a GREAT record and does a very appreciated job. Everyone needs to lay off the resmods. They do a great service to the forums.

When I first came across this thread, I was like OMG, this is going to be a public hanging; not a trial. I was not optimistic. But seeing this upswell of support has renewed my hopes.

At the core of this there is a problem, some of my decisions haven't been so hot. So from here on out, I'll play things straight. More rule quoting, less humor, better explinations and sending more things to Linden Review (which i have a tendancy not to do as some things are cut and dry). I've been aware there was an issue for a while, and I've been trying to improve.

I have to admit, I enjoyed writing the steaks post too. Reduces the monotany.

A few thoughts on AR's:

Sending an AR, is like dialing 911, we come review, and take action where needed. Usualy we corden off the scene; and hope that time will heal all wounds. Typicaly we shout to the onlooking croud whats happened and tell them to disperse. Sometimes we hall off the offenders, sometimes not. AR's on locked threads? already taken care off, false alarm in most cases. Sending in multiple AR's is like prank calling 911, remember we are people too, we dont' like it. It's not the quantity or quality of AR's that warent our attention, it's the review of the situation. Really would you want a system that could be gamed?

We aren't the police, we are the volunteer ambulance service.

The work is pretty straight forward; its the interfacing with the public that is tought. Which I promise to improve.

I like how three people is an upswell of 'support' and that you felt it required to not only prevent commentary, but hide it because you didn't like the direction it may have head in. You still, as well, have not addressed any of the criticisms directed towards your actual decisions -- nor has much of anyone Linden or otherwise. I'm well aware the forums are two seconds from closing since almost no one supports them, however, I honestly don't care if it means no longer watching someone run into a thread with lines such as '*blows whistle*' and other embellishments.

The fact you used the term 'peers' to describe other ResMods pretty much sums everything up about you. Your peers are everyone here, buddy. The good, the bad and the lynch-mobbingly ugly. You're not above anyone else.

Chill it with the use of 'we', too, since you dont' speak for all the other ResMods -- and not all of them back your decisions. Take some accountability for your own actions instead of hiding behind 'we' and handwaving.

I was not attempting to create a lynch mob or even a half-hearted beating mob. I meant what I said -- which was CHILL OUT.

You often stick your nose in places where it's not especially needed, and your commentary is often uncalled for (do you remember when you closed MadamG Zagato's "somebody copied my build" thread and mentioned that you thought that the copier did a better job than MadamG? That was "I'm closing your thread AND I think you're a hack". What about Taco's UFO thread? You could have moved it to the Sandbox. Instead you closed it (FOR ADVERTISING!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME???). For absolutely no reason.

Now. No one is out to get you. I even think you do a mostly good job. But please calm down. It's only a moderator gig. You're not even getting paid. Thanks for reading.

I received thanks for closing one of the quoted threads from the parties involved. It was a weird situation. When people IM & PM about a thread; either A) it was a controversial decision or B) they didn't like the decision.

I have no idea what planet you are from where you would think that is a correct response, but I sure hope you return to it soon.

Basic logic states that for those two statements to both be accurate "FOR ADVERTISING!!" must be equivelent to "For absolutely no reason." Are you suggesting the advertising rule does not exist? What did I quote then?

She's pointing at the sky and you're staring at her finger. If you cannot piece together what the actual complaint is and interpret 'No reason' as in 'The reason you gave was completely bullshit', then there is a serious problem here.

First of all, I sincerely doubt that anyone thanked you for closing Taco's thread.

As for MadamG's, yes, it probably should have been closed, but your end remarks concerning the quality of the builds themselves and so forth were completely uncalled for and you know that.

You still have refused to address any of the issues here and are now playing 'The Lurkers Support Me in Email' card? I'm consistently stunned how this thread is progressing.
