It seems that some people will only accept direction from a Linden. Regardless, it will do nothing to stem the cantankerousness - it just refocuses it back on the company.

I'll toss my hat into the fray...

Lead (by nature of being the longest surviving) forum moderator of the Official Neverwinter Nights 2 forums for almost a year.

Founded and ran the NWN 2 News site for 3 years. One of the largest news/community sites for the NWN 2 game. Broke several exclusives including first published on the web color screen shots and developer interviews. On average ~18,000 unique hits & near 200K page views a month with over 2,000 registered users

Founded and ran for 2 yrs each a community web site/game server for Ultima Online and Neverwinter Nights1

Founded and ran for almost 4 yrs what became the most popular/visited IRC Vampire Role Play rooms on the DalNet network

Pre-net founded and ran a successful multi-line echomail BBS for several years.

No new resmods have not been appointed yet - those who are interested may want to vote for a new Jira, WEB-448. Explanation and discussion of that, as well as simple voting instructions, are on this thread: /327/4a/234101/1.html

Forum moderation is temporarily being done by Aki Linden now that Strife has stepped down.

Qie and I are actively working on getting more moderators, resident or Linden, lined up. So yes, keep applying. But for now all that makes sense is to post here - the list of names will once again be given to the Lindens shortly. I'm sure that if LL decides to appoint more resmods, they will want more information. But they have not decided what to do about forum moderation yet.

I'll volunteer as a Mod for when LL decides to add another.

I currently own and operate 4 vBulletin forums which have as many as 5500 members and one of which grows by 100 new members a week.

Full knowledge of vBulletin software, hacks, plugins as well.

Although post count here is low, I do peruse the forums daily.
