I now have Scarlet Passion 5/36 and Spirit of Flame 3/15 which I paid L$50 each for. Along with Phantom White 4/25 this brings my collection to three; I am pleased and am not interested in selling (or buying).

I'm just picking up one colour I don't have from each batch atm. What are people's opinions on me going 'round grabbing all that I can find? (keeping in mind that I have no interest in keeping them and don't care about any sum below L$25,000 - I just enjoy the hunt)

Got another Spirit of Flame (#10) and another Pale Lavender (#5).

Willing to trade a Lavender and a White for a single Peach, or a Lavender, White, and Flame for a Gold. IM me in-world.

This seems to be the common behaviour. The tulips are desired yet not valued (the highest trade I'm aware of was less than US$2).

Does demand elasticity even apply when there is no supply curve? Have tulips become a mythical Giffen "good"? Desmond was certainly correct about one thing: this is indeed interesting.

Right, I've decided what to do with the first of my tulips. Lets see how much people are willing to pay for a chance to own a Scarlet Passion Tulip this weekend.

So if you want a Scarlet Passion Tulip send me money. The five people who have sent the largest amount by Monday get a tulip each.

Afterwards I'll announce data about how much was paid but will leave the winners to reveal themselves.

In the spirit of things, all money collected will be donated to The Shelter.

I've planted my first flower in the wild! It's set at the original L$10 if you find it.

Ack, it came back to me. I'm pretty sure the land said it wasn't autoreturn so I guess either it was bad soil or one of the Lindens must have gone "weeding".

Anyway, I've planted another somewhere you might run into it.

Y'know, thinking about it, I should have pretended I was hoarding tulips for monetary reasons - would have been interesting to have seen the reactions.

Anyway, two tulips out in the wild at the moment. Think I've managed to find spots where they'll stay.

Heh, this may be kinda unfair, but I sleep near that Infohub. I also note that the land it's on is nobuild, so I'm thinkin' it had a little help being seeded.

So... I got it. Thankyou AJ... now if only I could find that tree.

How'd you get it there then? That's what I originally meant, you rezzed it somewhere else and moved it over.

That's Sinatra Cartier's land, BTW... you happened to plant it at a very historic location.
