Being the main community representative of Solheimer i guess, I just wanted to update everyone on the status of the project and how everything is going.
At the moment we do not have Solheimer running the way we want. This is due to lack of advertisement and some other issues we are having. If you do stop by the sim and it is empty we all apologize.
This is where we ask you to help, we will be doing advertising and a lot more IC and OOC events for everyone to come and participate in Solheimer (we have atleast one going on currently in which a building exploded), but we ask everyone who loves to rp to invite all their friends to come down and particpate. The more people we get in the sim at all times the more fun it will be for everyone..
Combat System Status:
The combat system is a huge role in Solheimer as we all know. Most IC events and other things revolve around it. This is one of the main reasons why Solheimer hasnt been that populated but I thought I would inform you about it and let you all know that it will soon be here.
Features:
+HUD based health and character information (via update from server)
+Character stats which can be increased with usage of that stat (sword stat, axe stat etc. (Will give you better damage with that weapon type)).
+Multiple types of weapons and animations for the weapons
+Ability to create your own weapons to be sold with the system in which you receive 20% profit off of each weapon sold.
+Both melee and ranged combat.
+Many different types of weapons including axes, fist weapons, swords, polearms, bows, and much more will be added later.
+Crafting system in which you can create arrows to sell to other people for their bows or use yourself. (since bows will not have unlimited arrows)
+NPC monsters to fight on IC events
+most buildings can take damage, collapse and be repaired (can bust down a door to rob a house etc.)
+working armor which you can purchase to add to your defense
+working shields that you can block with to block attacks (sheilds have different blocking stats)
And this is just the begining! As Solheimer grows in populous you can expect new weapons with *special moves* and seige weaponry and more!

If you are interested in the Solheimer project we are currently looking for helpers to help with IC events and more. No there is no pay but we appreciate all the help we can get in populating the sim and creating the ultimate RP environment.

Also the Solheimer IC poetry club is starting up, this is a chance for people who love to RP and write poetry to take up the life of a poet by attending meetings and presenting their poems to the entire city on stage.
We are hopeing to be able to create many groups like this to help enrich the RP here at Solheimer. We give full access for players to create their own sub groups and get envolved in the RP even if it is in a negative way towards the city.
