"Welcome Travelers!" This is probably one of the first words you will be hearing when entering the forests infront of you as you find yourself walking up a long narrow path. Around you, you can see orcs, elven, and other fantasy races working hard, playing, or even fighting. As you continue up to the path you see huge gates, a dock, and you realized you have made it. Your Journey is Over....
Have you been looking for a roleplaying sim for fantasy creatures? No, I do not mean anything simple either. Have you been looking for the roleplay abilities of Gor without having to deal with "Gor"? Well we had the same thought.
The sim is going to be a self operating city while also maintaining mountainous forest environments. With warring factions you will be able to take part in the lore and build the city and lands around to be what you wish. Are you loyal to the city and want to protect the walls or are you one who wishes to take on the world and trash it all? Well this is the place for you.
This high fantasy roleplaying sim will have complete class system, rule sets, non sex based items, houses and apartments for rent and much much more! The developing team is currently hard at work to bring you this and if you are interested you can either stay here for updates on lore and production or join the ingame group called RPG SIM (which is currently the production name) We are open for all suggestions and your participation is greatly appreciated.
-The Team
(Stay tuned later on tonight for our first lore chapter!)

Technical Information
10-24-2006 18:09
For those intrigued and who want more information, I'll be providing some technical information of the planned sim.
First off, the sim will be available within a month or two, we'll have more information next month. We have lot planned to the sim, to bring a feeling of wartimes and oldtimes. If you like either, you'll probably like the sim.
Combat system - Our sim will have it's own combat system, all combat will be done with the system, this prevents greifing and cheating and such. We'll be sure to include a vast aray of weapons to allow people the best opportunity to cut each others down.... .or if you're like me, blast them to oblivion with old-tech gunnery.
Time Frame - The sim is planned in a fantasy realm type setting, but will still be incorporating a series of real world things. The time frame of the sim is up to the 1600's. Anything past this time frame will be in most cases, considered banned items from the sim.
Technology - Since we're only going up to 1600, technology won't surpass it. The height of the technology is matchlocks and old cannons. Clockwork, Steampowered, and coal powered technologies will be permitted to an extent to allow a few fantasy type technologies. Anything else that are not permitted on the sim, if something is in question, the heads of the sim will review and see if it fits in or not.

What would be your stance on Fantasy Airships?
They are something I find vital to any Fantasy Realm, and if done correctly they can be made to blend in with the time frame.

Sounds great to the ears of an old MMORPG roleplayer what races will be allowed? Is there any room for a demoness and her tamed dragon? Or perhaps a centaur (my alt).

Is there facilities for those that shy away from pens and paper and dice and mathematics that just want good ol' freeform-RP time to relax ICly in the atmosphere?

Ok just though I would answer some questions for you all . For Ayame, the release date is set within the upcoming months and we will have a website up soon.... Floyd that would be a wonderful idea and one of our developers is pushing it , so I would deffinently expect it . For Bree and others its not a full working MMORPG. We will have a system where people can craft things for the city and they will become part of the lore or something.. we havent really worked it out yet but we are hopeing for players to eventually form guilds and take over markets for a certain rp item. and Psyra this sounds like its for you ! I would also like to apologize for not getting the first chapter of the lore out last night. We promise it tonight and are very sorry for the inconvenience.

A bit of clearing up
10-25-2006 13:53
Seems our sim, though not yet named, is going to have a lot of fans. Chui answered a bunch of questions but I wanna help make it a bit more clear. I also want to help paint a clearer picture of the ideal of it. Wanna know information soon as possible, join the group RPG SIM, cost me a whole 100L to make it, you guys better use it I'm the developer pushing on the airships, I'm wanting to estabolish lots of the olden feeling technologies, before warfare and such became "cheap", ya wanna know if something else is allowed, just IM me, I'm basicaly bored all day. Crafting? It's SL so of course it's gonna own . We'll probably let people "license" items into the combat system and such. Also on crafting, I'm pushing for a section of city dedicated to specialized crafters. A multi branch crafters guild if you will. Armor Smiths Guild will be my favorite branch haha...... oh and gunsmith guild Races allowed, we're not going to be real picky, I think we're expecting to keep a ban on race types like vampires or other freakish evil types, Demonness? if it's more of a race type and less of a soul snatcher, then should be alright. Dragon and centaur are definately ok. Psyra, if you wanna relax, make sure no drunken Viking are around, or ya might be dodging flying beer mugs.... empty ones of course. And to paint a better picture of the sim. Imagine a land where magic has long since been silenced. Where a mighty city stands so mighty, one may mistake it for a fortress. Where the port brings in warriors from all over the realms, of all nations and races. Where the hardened souls of many come to relax, rejoice....... and prepare for the next war. Brotherhood, competition, war, and plain ol jolly fun. Those are what best describe the feeling we're going for with this build. We're hoping to pass along to all visitors, whether they stay or not. And remember kiddies...... Pillage THEN burn

If you like the idea of airships, I like you, xD.
I have always wanted a type of RPG/RP with the fantasy feel of Gor, without the sex, with paladins and maybe some magic, without wild huntresses kidnapping you and whiping you with chains.
I am in, plus I work on making RP Items for Star Wars and Naruto RP, so I will deffinately branch out to here too.

Lore of the Realm
10-25-2006 16:58
Hail! Here be the first bit of lore for the sim, basically its ancient roots. Simplified for forum reasons. Enjoy!
-=Chapter 1=-
A time before elves . . .
In the days of the ancient peoples, before the arrival of the elven peoples onto this land, and before the beginning of recorded history, this land was home to a tribe of primitive orcs. This primitive settlement flourished in the shadow of a great mountain upon fertile highlands surrounded by lush evergreen forests and river inlets. The orcish yurts decorated the landscape as well as farmland weaving thatch through the fields. Within the great mountain, deep wthin its winding and twisting caverns lie a site of religious worship to their primitive gods, as well as a mighty burial chamber beyond mighty doors of pure stone, etched with ancient runes and symbols. During this point in history, the primitive orcish tribes were a peaceful and highly religious people who lived and died in their own homelands and trifled not in the affairs of others. These orcs also had many alliances with other primitive races of the era in both trade and enlightenment. Yet, those were the days long before the ancestors of the present sovreigns of that land arrived. The elves immediately deemed the orcs as "savage" and an eyesore which needed to be "purified" from the land, the land they wanted for their own, so they took action. In what would seem like a mere month, the elven people had burned that city and slew about half of the population. The other half, as be the tales passed down by elders in the orcish tribes for generations, spoke of a great exodus as their people were ruthlessely persued and scattered across the globe, forming their own clans as they began to repopulate. During this time however, the elves had erected a fortress utop this mountain which was sacred to the orcs. The farmlands still remain, but under elven control. As time passed, that fortress lost its significance and eventually came under the control of a single duke of the elven heiarchy, reducing it to a minor frontier outpost. The great tragedy which occured on that land so many centuries ago has since been long forgotten by the elven people. It is simply not spoken of, and was never recorded. The elves just closed mindedly went about their lives in their capital not far from this sacred land, still judging and scoffing orcs and all others as they have for so long. Ignorant that it was set the clockworks of fate into motion. Now, four centuries later, the land has remained devoid of its true sovreigns for too long. There is a change in the wind, the stars, the clouds. Something is stirring deep within the lands, something within the elven capital. A wail of pain screamed out by a lowly orc servant breaks the night silence within the sleeping elf capital the clockwork of fate strikes its cold and heavy hands at midnight and so rang the bells of change.

Reads great, Mean I personally love the role of the elves. It comes closer to the cruel or at least mischievous elves of the nordic tales and sagas, not the gentle and beautiful beings that Tolkien made of them.

Just thought i would give an update. We are currently hard at work hammering out the rules of RP and of the sim. We are also working hard on the lore and combat system. Though we could use help with the combat system. If anyone is a talented scripter and willing to help out contact Zekeen Pheonix. We have decided to let citizens to the city rent out prebuilt houses and we will also rent out vendors. I am debating about a rent for hotel rooms. Think it might be a cool idea if you needed a place for some *private time* you could rent a room for a couple of hours and keep all your private business away from others .

Couple questions
11-06-2006 09:53
No evil types hmm? Drows are okay I would suspect? Diffently evil but not extactly freakish? and no comments from orcs about drows not being freakish thank you... If I cant be a drow which I am all the time I am in SL I am not sure what I could play. Becasue his other two forms that he can change to are both magic class..ones a night rider and the other a demon. "Imagine a land where magic has long since been silenced. Where a mighty city stands so mighty, one may mistake it for a fortress. Where the port brings in warriors from all over the realms, of all nations and races. Where the hardened souls of many come to relax, rejoice" No magic in the area at all? Just meelee weapons? Crud.. I dont have many of those. I hope you allow some magic.. " am debating about a rent for hotel rooms. Think it might be a cool idea if you needed a place for some *private time* you could rent a room for a couple of hours and keep all your private business away from others ." That would be a interesting Idea. Odds and Ends club ( I think the group name is chat addicts) has a set up to rent rooms fo rdifferent amounts of time and they somehow had it made where you cna talk in them but no one would over hear you. A teleporter would take you to a vacant room to use.. and yes, you will diffently need the Taverns.

About your donation link
11-06-2006 10:02
Umm I tried that link and teleport location and it went under one of Ways shops. In fact it it went under his underground part of his shop. Being a drow I dont mind being underground, however there was no place to donate, unless you were meaning to by from Way's shop. So the link to donate isnt working quite right.
