From: Yumi Murakami This is very worrying.
If anyone is still using change-paying vendors, you need to remove them as soon as possible. eeeps what? Dont most vendors pay change? Thats why you give them debit permissions.

From: Colette Meiji eeeps what? Dont most vendors pay change? Thats why you give them debit permissions. The object needs the permission in case it needs to refund an incorrect amount. There's no way for a script to refuse an incorrect amount of money paid to it - it just checks afterwards and refunds if needed. Whether it refunds the whole amount or just the difference depends on how the script is written. If anything, giving change is safer because it involves a smaller amount of money so less chance of triggering an alarm.

From: Pinkfeather Heron Godwin's Law gets invoked pretty quickly on the forums, I've noticed. Only one thing more predictable than someone spinning a debate out of control, by invoking political party/nationalistic epithets...that someone else will ALWAYS come along to every thread containing any reference to 1940's Europe, and subject us all, in the name of internet pseudo-sophistication, yet again, to another undeserved, and boring, mention of that obscure lame-o basement-intellectual-named-"WhoCARES Godwin." Sorry, but Godwin's 15 minutes are up!

Did This "FIX" Show Up...
08-13-2007 17:14
...in the list of upgrade/feature bullets on the download? I think I know the answer to that! And does anyone remember seeing a blog to the effect of this being part of the "casino-smashing" policy/TOS change?
What kind of absolutely blind, clueless, despicably-irresponsible, contextually-handicapped, buffoon-ish, dumb-ass policy change discussion made this subroutine addition make sense to any half-witted dissociative, dysfunctional, idle-handed pretend-lawyer script-monkeys squashed into the back row of cubicles? How many full-time, physically-present SanFrancisco-based employees work at Linden who have ANY experience with Second Life outside of Linden Village and their private enclaves?

this game is getting to not even be worth playing anymore was at one time a place to unwind and relax and leave the real world but than you come get ripped off and most of the time more frustrating than reallife. banned for clicking pay too many times kinda funny really when theres so many other things going on in sl and people dont get banned.
so a guy goes to a club in sl theres nothing to do anymore sploders are gone so he decides to pay some dancers some tips and guys usally tip in 10 to 20 l a pop like playing a sploder so he may get banned for doing that and theres one more right sl has taken away I have been in sl over a year now havent been in these forum bitching about anything just working and building in sl but lost my business because someone wnated to take peoples money and invest it so sorry if ive come off rambling I guess just blowing off steam.

Wait, I guess I haven't been paying close enough attention. Are you saying that people are being banned now for tipping dancers? Me and my partner dance and have taken positions as managers of another friend's new club and as such it would be critical to know if this is true. Anyone? Thanks.
