Depressing, yes. But I think you can still discuss the idea. Perhaps a more specific aspect of the idea. It is supposed to be the IDEAS that count here, after all.

We went through this same business in TSO, back when the forums were still so strict, and had the rule that you'd get kicked out of the game for getting kicked out of the forums. There was a rule that you couldn't repost anything that had been locked, not even breathe a word on the subject ever again!

This meant whole huge segments of discussion became completely forbidden to ever discuss again, just because the original thread had contained some personal attacks, or something.

I don't think this forum has any rule so bad as that, so it's ok to discuss the ideas again, whenever you feel like it.

I realy wish "we" could Coco. Unfortuanatly when ppl are allowed to derail a valid topic without LL stepping in and stopping it. We don't stand a chance.

Lookie, Catherine, what's neat is I don't give a damn any more either. Apparently I got there a lot sooner than you did, lol. Actually, this is a very liberating thing somehow. And, interestingly, doesn't really stop me from still espousing my causes and making my suggestions on what would improve the game.

My spontaneous sit-in demonstration at the Linden anniversary party helped, too, because it was empowering. I saw many people who aren't on these forums, and when I told them what I was protesting, they didn't . . . well, they didn't do what people here do. They were more normal. And nice, open-minded. All that. Many of them didn't even know there was a new rule tying forum behavior to the ability to play the game.

P.S. It's not for naught, it isn't. More and more people will come into the game, and they aren't all going to fall lock-step into the current accepted thinking. And there are many now who absolutely will not speak up in here, for fear of being ripped to shreds. They will gradually gain courage. Just wait, Catherine, be patient. As the game grows, it will have to become more welcoming to new players and new ideas, and the forums will have to open up, too.

Boo.

Shame on you Catherine Cotton. This is the kind of stuff that the forum has been free of until your return.

Coco & Cat, as long as you feel that you have to go on the offensive when asked questions, this will go on.

You exhort that you should be allowed question things, and offer individual thought, in other threads - but once someone offers their individual thought, or asks questions in one of your threads, you always construe that as an attack. Lose-lose for anyone who doesn't agree with you.

You know, I understand that this is a continuation of some drama in a previous thread and I still say it's a bad thing. However, could you post a quick synopsis of what this idea was, to bring us, who are unfamiliar with the previous thread, up to speed?

The only person who derailed the topic was you. Every single question I asked you was about your precious topic. That you failed to answer them, then started swearing and behaved like a two year old is your own fault and doing. Nolan is right, it is a lose-lose situation with you. You have no ability to handle anything except "yes, Catherine, your idea makes complete sense and you explained it clearly.". If anyone dare express INDEPENDENT THOUGHT (you know, that catch phrase you and Cocoanut are so fond of) and ask you to clarify your idea, then out comes your persecution complex. Your behavior is incredibly offensive, as was you starting a thread singling me out (your issues with Eboni are you own, and self inflicted). Aside from being against the forum rules, I simply will say you are welcome. You started a discussion thread, and you got a discussion, including questions about your idea. If you are not mature enough to handle that, then get out of adult forums.
