Your efforts in vehicle construction, airfield building, sim circumnavigation, and spork manufacture have greatly enriched my Second Life experience. Abbotts still feels like a second home to me, and I've logged countless hours of flight time in your aircraft. I can't think of Second Life without thinking immediately of Cubey Terra; your distinctive work is a foundation for our little virtual world.
Fair winds and blue skies, Cubey. We'll miss you.

When I was still fairly new I strayed in to buy my first aircraft - not one of yours, just pretty much the first that caught my eye. It didn't work, and I came back to find the creator. You were there, heard my story, and gave me a CLAWW gratis. I was overwhelmed with gratitude (though I probably didn't show it) and I treasure my gorgeous black shiny craft still. Happy retirement wishes to a real gentleman.

Best of luck to ya, Cubey. I'll miss the areodrome, not just a great place to buy great planes, but a fun place just to poke around in. And what I'll miss the most is "Cubey's bad poetry" contests! You know I won one of those once....hmmmm that's not realy an honor.....forget I mentioned that.

Cubey, Your hangar at Abbotts was the first landmark I took in my inventory, and its still there, at the bottom of a long list. From a fellow Canadian, and a fellow flying vehicle builder, I'll miss you, and good luck with whatever you decide to work on. - Jon

I wish you the best Cubey, your work in Second Life has always been an inspiration and for me an addiction ^^. I hope to see you again on the grid sometime in the future. ^^

Thanks so much everyone for the well-wishes etc! Early this morning, with the help of Chage, Torley, and Arrekusu, I changed my avatar over into Tourist mode -- hawaiian shirt, khaki shorts, camera, and little drink with an umbrella. From now on, when I do log in, Second Life will be very much a *game*.

There's a teleporter pad where Cubey's Hangar used to be. Use it and go pick up some of those goodies. I know I bought myself one of the Cormorants while I could. Mmmm, Airplane-Sub goodness. And good luck on your vacation Cubey. Go visit some dance clubs and party hard!

From: Cubey Terra As you may know, the avatar known as Cubey Terra is old and grey. Eventually, the time comes when one has to set aside the business, sit back in the Lay-Z-Boy rocker-recliner, and put up the aching feet while enjoying a nice cold one. You'll be missed, Cubey.

Have a good one, Cubes.
Hope you'll still be up for a little dogfighting every so often. :>
Was so hoping you'd get done the Terra Combat System for ground vehicles and infantry. =D
And thanks for the most fun, best vehicles in SL. :>

DOOOOOD! Though I rarely ever jump on the forums, I had to come on here and wish you well. Though I was never big into creating aircrafts/space ships, it was awesome to checkout your inspired creations. I'm glad Juro has your planes on our property and that I have your other products like the jetpacks and skydiving equipment. I remember when you first came into SL and seeing your stuff at Show & Tell. As time past, and you began mastering SL aeronautics like no other, I'd soon marvel at the sight of a 747 actually flying across our SL skies...I was hoping to see in the future a fleet of jetfighters to streak across our skies, but alas, the closest we'll get to that is a bunch of residents in Transformer like AVs...LOL. I'm relieved that you'll still be in touch, and like others have said here, I look forward to your inspired return, even if at a less active capacity like myself. You're a true SL pioneer that I and other residents will remember fondly. Good journey to you, buddy!

Heh the Aerodome wasent my first place I bookmarked but shure was the second First being Cordova before the other sandboxes arrived
I still rember the day you were tinkering with the sky divers lift chair that looks like an aircraft seat and pondering what was missing... Delay lift for mabe 2 seconds have a smoke cloud bellowing out then shoot up with a smoke trail. I still use the copy you gave me quite regularly even if not for skydiveing... more of a quick way to the skybox
Anyway Hope to catch ya online... I plan to give you your wings in person And if I dont catch you snoozen on my watch... well ok then but rest up QB u earned it 10 fold

From: Chage McCoy The aerodrome will be now known as Chage and Apoth's Aero Mega Mall Whilst I cannot speak for Apoth (Havent seen him to discuss yet), I for one have no intentions of changing the Aerodrome as a result of this. Heck its even prompted me to rapidly get some new stuff ready. Mega Mall. heh. No I don't plan any changes. I tiered up to cover as much of the land debt as I could before finding out that was a mistake on Cubey's part. I may not be able to take an active role in the Aerodrome, but I surely don't expect to let it disappear.

Someone just told me you were "retiring" Cubey . THANK YOU for the many simply grand devices you've "brought" to SL. As an avid flyer (RL and SL!), I have spent many, many hours enjoying the fruits of your labor. I didn't realize "Blanc Noir" and Cubey were one in the same. I'm sure you know how I used the "Skyport" kit to build my "Dream' airport in SL. THANK YOU again for your creativity. If I can be of any assistance in the future, PLEASE ask. Good luck...and good health! Another "Golden Oldie"..... Cruiser Gilman

I give up. I can't stay retired.
11-26-2005 17:04
I tried to retire. I swear. But it turns out that I'm just no good at it. After about 2 months of claiming to be retired while everyone snickered at me for continuing to build things, I'll just have to give in and admit that I AM NOT RETIRED ANYMORE. Seriously, SL is like crack. Come and visit me sometime.
