Thank you for all that you have contributed to SL. Enjoy! _____________________

Siggy once told me that there are people in SL who make it a point to continually raise the bar with the products they sell inworld. You, dear Cubey, have pushed that bar time and time again by showing us what SL could offer for vehicles.
I'm sad to hear you're leaving but glad to know you'll still be around in some form. Come home when the vacation is over. _____________________

Thank You Cubey for all you're hard work. I couldn't imagine anything more grande than the airfield in Zoe. It boggles my mind to think what you might do in retirement.

Bye Cubey, Thanks For All The Fun!

![]() I'm glad you decided to make the Orca. It has been my favorite vehicle here, closely followed by your float plane and Altair Sub. You have helped make exploring this world, by air and sea, a very fun time. I look forward to what we shall see in the coming years as vehicles and the technology behind this world mature. Here's to all the innovations to come and to your part in getting the first vehicles of Second Life off the ground. Onward and Upward! Salazar Jack _____________________

There are old pilots, and there are bold pilots... but there are no old, bold pilots.
Until you... Good luck in your retirement, and with all things that remain in your future. |

A Terra Futura 5.0 got my attention. Then I ended up in your hangar. Now I run two groups and an airfield. Maybe sometime I'll catch your pattern on my traffic control radar and call you through the tower in a future version. Until then.

As you may know, the avatar known as Cubey Terra is old and grey. Eventually, the time comes when one has to set aside the business, sit back in the Lay-Z-Boy rocker-recliner, and put up the aching feet while enjoying a nice cold one. As of today, I'm retiring as "commander" of Abbotts Aerodrome. It's been an amazing and enriching experience, engaging in almost unbridled creativity in Abbotts since February 2004. I'd like to send my thanks to Apotheus Silverman, co-founder of Abbotts, without whom the Aerodrome would never have been called into existence. Also I'd like to thank the mysteriously-absent Reitsuki Kojima, whose friendship and creativity was inspiring to me (where the heck are you??). And thanks to Chage McCoy, whose enthusiasm for the Aerodrome led to new aircraft, new security, and a piece of corporate artwork in the lobby that I can't begin to describe. Really, I can't describe it. ![]() My corner of Abbotts will be empty for a while. When I figure out what to do with my massive inventory of aircraft and gadgets, I may build something new to leave there. I'll be around on occasion, though not very often. Although I won't be designing anything new, I plan to continue to sell Noir SkyLife skyhome kits (as Blanc Noir), and perhaps wander around as a tourist. To all of the aircraft builders in SL, Abbotts Aerodrome has always been, and will continue to be, a centre for the development of cutting-edge aviation. I hope you'll all lend your support to the remaining members of Abbotts Aerodrome: Chage McCoy, Reitsuki Kojima, Apotheus Silverman, Rei Kuhr, and Arrekusu Muromachi. Cheers! -Cubey I want to say a big thankyou to you Cubey, I got a lot of Good Aircraft from the Abbots Aerodrome. Thanks for all the hard work in making everyones Second Life more enjoyable |

Wow.
Hard to even decide what to say. You know you were an inspiration to me. Thank you for everything. Best of luck in all things. I hope the next generation sets as impressive an example. It's the end of an era! You will be missed, my friend. ![]() Whatever is now consuming your time, love and pour your soul into it, just as you did for all of us. _____________________

You can't do this to me! I'll sue! Ah well, maybe you'll have more time to hang out if you're not running that big old thing anyway ![]() _____________________

Best of luck Cubey! You've made a big impact around here. Submarines, blimps, parachutes, combat systems, BIG airports, building contests, and...oh yeah, some pretty neat planes

Yes DO come back Cubey... even if you need a long leisurely break. The Aerodrome has always been one of my favourite places and I've had a lot of fun with your vehicles (especially the hover pods! whee! pods!) . Thanks for all your hard work and what you brought to us.

The aerodrome will be now known as Chage and Apoth's Aero Mega Mall
![]() On a more serious note, I was completely blown away by Cubey retiring. First I knew about it was reading this post while at work. Cubey was my reason for taking up building and scripting. I aspired to be a great aviator such as he, and until I found out just how much havok sucked, aspired to make planes of quality and prim complexity such as his. Cubey is going to be truly missed by the aerodrome staff. I tried to ask him why he left, and he helpfully told me his dog ate the computer. Of course, I could just give out his email, and everyone spams him until he gives in and comes back ![]() Whilst I cannot speak for Apoth (Havent seen him to discuss yet), I for one have no intentions of changing the Aerodrome as a result of this. Heck its even prompted me to rapidly get some new stuff ready. Hopefully (and if Cubey reads this), I am hoping to talk Cubey into putting back a couple of items (noteably his balloon, the orca, and the vancouver or lodestar) for sale seeing people are still always after them. |

Cubey, Abbot's was one of the first places I ever visited the first day I logged into SL. You've enriched my experience, and thank you.
