Remember what I said Torley...about there always being a light in the window to guide your way back home. I believe just about everyone in SL will have one lit in the hopes that you will come back some day. You have an energy and a kindred spirit that rises above everything, confusion, hatred, ignorance, and bitterness. The path you take now may not be side by side with us but we'll always be behind you Torley

This sucks. Torley was more of a like window to SL. Reading her blog showed me alot of what SL had to offer and what we didn't know. No one will really fill that void. Almost like an ambassador to SL. Always friendly. Will be missed.

Goodness, I'm a bit surprised about this. Admittedly I'm not the most social person on the planet, RL or SL, but even I had a chance to have a quick IM chat /w Torley (about Uru no less, though it started with finding her on my Money Tree visitor's list

). Probably the reason for my steady stream of newcomers, and I'm grateful for that.

You definately deserve the UU Honor Guard Salute:

*Hugs* Torley, I don't understand why you are leaving us, but take the very best of care and I hope you find whatever answers you may be looking for in whatever space you need and for however long it takes....

That day you spontaneously (how else?) dropped by my place and we chatted, I not only chilled out considerably forever after about a hang up of mine within SL, but also became temporarily infused with the 'Torley Effect' and had an absolutely brilliant day on my travels in RL after logging off

Will keep an eye on the sky for shades of watermelon.....

Aww... I didn't know this forum. I heard a rumor that Torley had left, so I searched and found this. Too late.

I had read a lot of Torley's posting and also Hamlet's article before. I felt her friendly by myself.
Recently, I had a chance to talk to her at the welcome area. She knew me because it was immediately after talking about my keyboard issue at some thread.

I did not Torley that well, but she has made such an indelible, positive impression on Second Life that it is difficult to not think of her every time I see watermelon colors -- especially with recent fashions using them (one of Neph's newest designs comes to mind, as well has HoseQueen's latest).

Everywhere I turn I see Torley somewhere.

Torley, I salute you! You have my respect, my affection, and my best wishes.
