While I never got the chance to know you well, your forum posts and those few times I met you in-world always brought a smile to my face. Your attitude and enthusiasm were truly infectious, and you will be missed. I can only hope that 1st Life (or 3rd Life) sets you free for an occasional visit.

Both Garth and I am sorry to hear to hear you are leaving us Torley. I remember when Garth and I met you in Waterhead practicallly to first day you were here. Whatever your reason for leaving us, I know you will not forget the friends you have made or your wonderful experiences here. I stumbled on this picture yesterday in one of the Sandboxes. I was going to post it in the Gallery today. But it seems appropriate to put it here. I didn't measure it, but it was HUGE! _____________________

OMGAH! Okay **breathe**. This has to be the most shocking thing I've heard in SL. Miss Torley, I don't know what happened, to where you have decided to leave our little world, however, I've never been sad to see someone go. I just been "Good luck and have fun". This is different. Miss Torley, you have blessed Second Life with your existance, you have always put a positive spin and outlook on everything.
This will be the saddest day of my SL days. Nothing will ever compare to this. I begging you Miss Torley...please reconsider. Wow! I'm just at such a loss for words, I don't know what else to say really except you will always be known in Second Life. I will miss you dearly <3 Huggerz, MJ |

Farewell Torley, wherever you go and whyever you've gone, you'll leave a hole in so many lives, even those of us that didn't see you as often as we would have liked. That was always my fault, but still you were a part of SL that it will struggle to replace.
Be well, be happy, and whether or not our paths cross again, we'll always remember you here. I'm adding one of my favourite pictures too, and will go find a melon asap |

Well, I totally missed the rammifications of your behavior changes over the last couple of weeks. Thus are the pitfalls of being an Aspie, as I know you understand. And having read your posts on the subject of your reasons for leaving, I both understand entirely and... I don't as well. Strange little feeling of ambivalance there. I am unshakably certain about my feelings over your leaving, though - I know I'm going to miss our paths crossing on occasion. You are always a bright spot on the SL map. It's me again. Hahaha... excellente... this all comes in good time for me to retire this current av for awhile (WHAT?? Well you'll find out soon...).I've just been hitting Fran and Rathe up before it's time for "Torley Torgeson" to go for awhile. Oh, I'll be back, but there are more alternate virtual realities to explore yet. It's a few days before I "go". Wish ya guys all well in the meantime. ^_^ and from /108/9b/50366/3.html#post534394 A reason why I'm supporting the ROAM initiative is because my dead exquasipet mouse, Miss Jangles, came in a dream and told me to. I kid you not. It sounds crazy, and it is, but it's not insane. I get these crazy dreams when I'm asleep telling me what to do in SL, and when I obey them, things go well. Any good (and I hope there's been good) that I've manifested in here has been a result of it, and I've been striving to explain more about the ineffable forces of rippleshock on my blog. It's been this way since shortly after I've become a Resident, and to say the least, it's been life-affirming (Second Life-affirming!) and spiritual in a technological way. Consider the movie Donnie Darko. -Lately, the dreams have been getting more intense and my efforts to vent them out have grown increasingly futile, which is why, as I alluded to in a previous post, Torley Torgeson, Jr. (aka TorPrime) will be bowing out and effectively leaving SL for awhile. She WILL be back, but I -- we, Torleys of all alternate realities, hehehe -- need time. I will stop in every now and then as TT, but not a lot. I will still be reachable at [email=torley@gmail.com]torley@gmail.com[/email] if anyone needs to contact me. ROAM, with the theme of transportation a metaphor, will be the final act of my voyage in Second Life for now. That is what Miss Jangles has told me, and I'd like to respect her memory. I didn't get to know you as well as I would have liked, Torley, but you were always such a sweet and sunny person.... truly one of the most quirky and interesting chanracters I've ever met here. I'll miss seeing watermelon colored versions of things.... and I'll think of you whenever I see those big flowers of Fallingwater's. I'll miss you... hope it won't be too long before you can come back and bless SL with your presence again. Be well!

As a lurker at SLuniverse, I was able to read the first questions from a Mr. Wong about whether he could use that last name in SL. I still remember meeting Torley, Sr. at a trivia contest last fall. You looked like the guy in Eloise's picture and got way too many answers right! It was a simpler time when you weren't yet "TORLEY, Superstar," just a guy with a keyboard who was interested in everything. I am hoping all of this drama will lead to us being able to get a Linden Bear that has just the slightest hint of watermelon on it. Be well.
