The L$ has remained at or above L$280 per $1 USD for a considerable time and shows every indication of moving lower.

Please, LL, do something to whip L$ deflation before it totally kills the economy.

You have to buy low before you can sell high.

But the second one is surely the happiest of them all.

This is an excellent point and worth highlighting.

The L$ is not Deflationary. It is Inflationary. If it was deflationary,
you would be seeing a rise in the L$/US$ value because of a lack
of supply of L$ to go around.

Deflation:
A persistent decrease in the level of consumer prices or a persistent
increase in the purchasing power of money because of a reduction
in available currency and credit.

Inflation:
A persistent increase in the level of consumer prices or a persistent
decline in the purchasing power of money, caused by an increase
in available currency and credit beyond the proportion of available
goods and services.

Open only a basic dictionary and please look of for the meanings of inflation and deflation. I cant believe such ... comments here. There is no inflation or deflation at the moment.
We lived inflation in last months. L$'s value is LOW. but no inflation in last one week. Ofcourse no deflation either.
---> The L$ has remained at or above L$280 per $1 USD for a considerable time

a guy is making this comment and saying there is deflation?!?!?!?! OMG even any high school girl cant make such a comment.
Deflation -> loosing value.
You are saying L$ value is not changing so there is deflation(loosing value). What a comment, god help me please.
This is not inflation or deflation this is only SPECULATION. NOTHING ELSE.
L$ will GAIN value. YOU WANT OR NOT. and this wont be deflation. this is taking back the inflation we lived in last months. If u dont know economics just dont type here such comments. PLEASE.
And you want or not, sky is falling discussions will end soon. Only speculators will type such things. Yes we had problems in last months(inflation). But it is passed. and everything is being ok now. I wish L$ reaches ITS normal value. 250L$/usd(I dont think this will happen it will stay near 265 for a long time). Yes this will happen. And this is not DEFLATION. This is a response in good economies against to the short term inflations. I am deciding to not write hear again and again but i cant take these SPECULATIONS.

Now I'm not a mathemetician or an economist or a chicken little or anything, but isn't that like a whopping 11% decline in value over months?

I really wish I hadn't converted my 401(k) and entire portfolio into L$. This is like even worser than the mini-crash of 1997. Time to jump out a window; goodbye cruel fate, goodbye cruel SL.

At the moment SL is like a nice fat cockroach. It sees the looming shadow above but it can't quite see what it is.

Maybe, the first however is most content with its life, being the first created, its had time to settle in, it also feels better than the other two, being the oldest and wisest exlamation point of all.

ReserveBank, he was making a wry joke - you are absoutely correct in your definitions as well as description of the economy.

Jamie - Thank you for changing to your title to one that we can all agree on.

I don't see him as better educated than anyone fresh out of high school. We can't all agree on that self appointed title either. You don't speak for me.
