From: Lewis Nerd The problem is that it's being deliberately manipulated towards a crash, so that a small group who hold a lot of money who want to get stipends removed are then able to control the market by releasing limited amounts of cash to people who need it having no other income - and push the rate nearer to 250 so they get more for their money, whilst the buyers are SOL and have no alternative.
This isn't a free market at all. Markets go up as well as down... and right now it's being forced down by a tiny percentage of self-serving individuals with nothing more than their own profit on their minds.
Lewis Now now, lets not spread panic and fear that markets are being manipulated . You sound like a Democrat who screams "price gouging" when gasoline prices rise. The value of L$ is the value the market is willing to pay. And who is the market? Its You. Its Me. Its thousands of other players... If you don't like what is going on, appeal to Linden Labs to stop flooding the market with money via stipends. People can't sell what they don't have, right?

Is it the plan that it will be useful when we start to see where support lies and how support moves?
Spose the other thing it does, is makes me think about at what number I would become a buyer.

We should wait a few hours and see on what price level the buyers will position themselves on the market. This is really interesting.

From: Kazanture Aleixandre I am bought some L$ at 397/usd How did you do that? The lowest open buy order is L$348/1, you should have gotten that rate or this market isn't working right.

O M G! WHAT WERE YOU THINKING when you put the buy orders UNDER the gigantic mountain of sell orders?! Could someone on the web team please move the buy orders TO THE LEFT of the gigantic mountain of sell orders so they are CLEARLY VISIBLE? PLEASE?! Thanks.

From: Svar Beckersted Was that the lowest rate when you bought? The lower numbers are more recent. When it opened there was a brief window of time in which the price was in that area.

From: Kazanture Aleixandre yes I'm disapointed in you for not being more greedy. Aparently it isn't possible to deposit USD, so limit buy orders are more or less completely off limits to normal L$ buyers. Why did nobody start a group to dictate the price at which we'd place orders?

Might just be me - but they appear to have borked the estimated proceeds for limited buys in the process.
I just had a look see and no matter what rate I put it, it spat back the exact same number for the estimate.

the thing is if you try to buy at 75000 / usd u can never buy if there are better rates like 350/usd.
For example if there is 75000L$ buy request at 350/usd, and 500000L$ at 75000/usd.
And if a resident tries to sell 75000L$ at a rate of 75000/usd; the 350/usd guy will buy it.
the question is at what rate?
